dizzyplatinum99 | nice place to camp and hike, fire pits in most spots with a lot of wood laying around, good trails around and big rig friendly. was low 40s in early April, lots of birds and saw a mountain lion on the drive out |

Astro | Totally trashed area (including State Trust Lands)! People bring out toilets, kayaks, tv's, bottles, cans, plastic to shoot up and leave all the debris. I saw more plastic bottles than I've seen in a full size Grocery in less than 1 acre. Obviously locals because what traveler brings an old toilet to decimate? Sad. |

Boojerdogsaregreat! | The nicest rest stop we've ever stayed at. It is a Texas safety stop in a park-like setting. There is someone on-site 24/7 and the facilities are super clean. There are 2 sections of the restroom building (separate handicap restrooms) that also double as tornado shelters with reinforced doors and walls. T-mobile internet was good. |

gabriel | Very nice and quiet place. Bathrooms are super clean, there are 5, all have showers. There is electricity, a washing machine and a sink. (Dan helped us with a long power cable). Nothing to add really, just confirming all the comments before. If you visit in spring, you will also enjoy the trees blooming. The town is very cute and it’s worth going for a walk. You also have to visit the fortified church, it’s really something to see. |

allisonfountain | First and foremost, DO NOT TRUST GOOGLE MAPS. If it is taking you another route to get into the plains that is not Soda Lake road, reset it and make sure you are entering the monument from Soda Lake road, unless of course you have a really great offroading vehicle. I do not and have a 2wd Van and got stuck. As everyone has said before, it is not really possible to travel through the plains when it is rainy. But, with all that said, if you come on a nice dry day, really camping anywhere in the monument is wonderful. I talked to a ranger and he said pretty much any pullout is fair game as long as overnight parking goes. These are not the exact coordinates where I camped, but I pulled in at a spot north of Trevor ranch. Tractors where parked on the pulloff, but the road went a little way and ended with a roundabout. the views were beautiful and I was not bothered. service is spotty but most of the way along the main road I had 5G. Starlink had no obstructions. There is no water and few restrooms, so make sure you plan for that because you are going to want to stay for as long as your supplies allow. It is so beautiful and what camping is all about. |

marvellousweakness93 | Arrive between 4 and 4:30 p.m. to park up for the night before your ferry the next morning. I didn't even have to be sneaky - the guy I spoke to said people do it all the time they leave a small gate open for people to go in and out. perfect! |

wearybadge75 | Very clean and quiet spot. There were a few other campers around but it wasn't hard finding a secluded spot when we pulled in around midnight. Smooth roads, very level ground and a few fire pits in certain spots. Highly recommend this spot, the sunrise is gorgeous! |

hayes.andy.m | Stayed here and other sites in the NF over the course of 4 days; there were plenty of sites to choose from spread out down essentially each road you take. Was even able to find a site during the weekend of the 2024 eclipse, so there's a good chance you'll find one yourself. Primitive, but simple fire pits seem to be at most sites. |
