There is a water tap on the left hand side of the entry to the pumps, it is on the wall. We asked the attendant and he was very helpful -- said it was potable and was not a problem for us to fill up. He was also curious about our vehicle and trip :) You'd need a hose if you don't have removable tanks.

Spent a night here (Thursday) and it was very quiet and peaceful. There’s a flat area next to the flag poles right in front of the cemetery entrance, and you get a nice view as well.

It is a described already. It was a tedious 12 miles in from 71-S but lovely. Being here makes that drive worth while.

highly recommended. good stop on the pothole road to Copan. large open field where any large vehicle can park. the entrance is narrower due to the overhanging soft branches. You can easily pull this away to drive past it.
very friendly owner and team of the restaurant where we ate a delicious meal and enjoyed beers. we felt very welcome

Don't follow the GPS link, just put in the address to the site and it will take you right to the park. Nice new park, clean and well kept up. $52 a night after taxes. Full hook up.

Former established campground, now open to dispersed camping in Lincoln National Forest. Paved central area with (sloping) grass field around it. Trees all around provide shelter from wind. Still some snow mid-April. Pit toilet, no water.

Camping is open again $20 a night. All sites have electric hookup, paved parking and a sheltered picnic table. Decent spacing between sites but no shade or trees. However you have the awesome swimming pool right there to cool off. Bathhouses are spanking new and clean in the camping area.

A good restaurant. We took a menu at S/18, including starter and dessert, with a lot of choice. The quantities are quite small, but sufficient for us. It was pretty good. They also serve many other dishes, typical or not (cuy, burger, pizza, fish, meat, etc.). We recommend.

There are fees. To remove S/500, they took me S/30. Go instead to Banco de la Nacion, there are no costs (another point Ioverlander)

Absolutely gorgeous. Got to the beach in a sedan with maybe 6 inches clearance, if you ride your brakes on the way down so you don't bounce and pick your line it's not too bad. Few spots on the beach are leveled.

This is a beautiful site to stay over night. Several vans and cars stayed over night. Very busy during the day when the sun is out.

duchas a $1000. el servicio no es el mejor, el agua es temporizada y sale muy muy caliente. te dan jabón y shampoo. así que es buen precio por lo que ofrecen.

Filled up propane and water here. Water was free and propane took us exactly 2 mins to fill up. The staff was so sweet and helped us with everything we needed. Propane was 4.59$ a gallon.

Also when you just park here for a lunch break, they want you to pay a commune fee now. But they just ask extrajeros. So if you are Argentinian, you are fine 🤪

This road seems now to be the main road between Antofogasta and Antofalla. It is freshly prepared and in a very good condition. Normal gravel road. We drove it today with 2x 4WD cars but I think you don’t need it. The 2 passes have very steep sections up and down so be prepared with good breaks and a powerful vehicle. The pass near Antofogasta is about 4250 m high. It took us 3.5-4 hours, driving nice and slowly (with some pictures and drone shots) - you will easy make it in 3 hours.

Beautiful spot with amazing views on the Cono. The road to Tolar Grande is very good for Argentinia. At the moment no ripio, very straight. We saw some working lashings repairing the road, maybe that’s why.

Not bad for $15. Site 31 has good views but not so level in our camper van. Fire ring and picnic table. Site is near the bathroom but no one went in during our stay. And it didn’t smell so it was fine. There’s drinking water and a pavilion right near the site too but I’m not sure how safe it is. We filled a couple of water jugs from it and noticed some stuff floating around in the water. Shower house not far but we didn’t use it so can’t really say anything about that. The camp hosts are super friendly

We stayed here last night, no issues. Just park as far into the pull off as able. Ordinances in Oregon state at least 30ft from the middle of the road. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS.

Amazing spot with beautiful view of the valley and lots of stars.
We could not find the lower wild camp spots and found this big pull off from the road. 15 minutes drive from the viewpoint El Hornocal. There is no wind shelter but we did not have any wind luckily. The altitude is 3870 meters and ofcourse no cell reception. We arrived just before sun set and were the first ones at El Hornocal.

Arrived at 7 AM, worked through the day, stayed overnight. Left around 7 AM the following morning and had no problems. I did observe that there was no overnight parking sign by the pay station which issues 24 hour parking permits. I also noticed around 10 AM, someone from security posted a sign on the windows of another vehicle that had been parked overnight, for how many nights I don’t know. Seems like the fun may be over.

very nice spot, can see lots of waterfalls on rainy day. stayed on little heighth close to the entrance. be careful with the big grassy flat field, it might get very soft and muddy during rain so you might get stuck.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The restaurant staff is super nice and the food is really, really good & lots of vegetarian options! We ate here on the first evening and were allowed to stay for 2 nights for free.
The WiFi is fast and good, toilet and shower (cold) accessible 24 hours a day.
Good starting point for exploring Salento and the surrounding area.
The parking lot is not too big, and it gets tight if there are several restaurant guests with cars, so it's better to come early.
