A bit further up FR from “A Step Above” there is a road off to the right. This is on an even higher rise. The first campsite is a circle with plenty of space. If you continue on there is a fairly small, yet flat space on the right. At the end is a larger space, but not as level and dead ends.

Almost zero noise from highway. Mostly noisy neighbors aka cows.

2 bars 5g Verizon.

This would be suitable for a van, suv, or truck as the main FR is bit rutted.

Several nice spots near the river. Pit toilets at the end of the road.

Called to verify. Customer Service said it's okay to stay overnight and to park on the side the garden center is on and pointed away from the building. The stay was fine. The only downside was that the music the overnight crew was playing was piped outside all night. Woke up to another cargo van and a minivan also overnighting there.

Same situation as described by the visitor one month ago. Clean sleeping area and place to eat, stove cannot used anymore, pit toilet ok, have seen worse. The door of the shelter doesn’t close properly.

Pasamos una noche acá con 3 motorhomes más. Lugar seguro, está en una calle sin salida con una vista muy linda del lago y el parque. A la noche estuvo un poco ruidoso porque era sabado y fue bastante gente. No tuvimos buena señal de teléfono.

Really lovely spot. checking in to warn of mud! we're in a 2wd minivan and didn't have any issues getting in or out, but we stuck to the back of the lot where there wasn't any mud. if you drive up to the lake, be careful! Portaloo was appropriately scary, bring your own TP

Amazing service, and you can pull right up to the propane refill! Lots of parking even on a weekend! Price was $2.89 /gal today.

Awesome place to stay the night. Full bars 5G for Verizon. Cozy quiet tonight. Had dominoes for dinner. Been cooking every night while out in the bush. Nice to just order something and eat. Very awesome that Cabelas set this spot up. Makes me wanna spend a little more coin to thank them for this. Ya’ll stay safe out there. Supposed to be 28° tonight. FYI a catalytic heater in your camper will do wonders. Uses no electricity like your normal heater does. So saves on battery on cloudy days.

Still abandoned and a great spot for one night. A few people saw me, but nobody cared. I used my hammock to enjoy the fresh sea breeze at night. There is a roof in case it rains and the sunrise in the morning is so beautiful!

Nice site right by the water. Was able to pull in with a small trailer rig.

this is a turn around area prior to the visitor center. approved by the Ranger there. large enough space along the road to pull off the road in case someone needs to turn around. quiet, very little traffic during the evening. would definately use again if in the area. no amenities. can hear the river softly after dark.

No problem on motorcycles. It's just a really short stretch of sand.

Charming little spot with a beautiful view over the lake. Food is available, from 40 to over 110 cedis depending on the menu. There are also lots of different kinds of rooms, the cheapest being the dorm (140 cedis) and the most expensive the family bedroom (500 cedis). You can ask for extra mattresses (50 cedis each). Also, water is free, and you can probably come and sleep in your car, although the parking is small and on a hill.
WiFi is available upon request, except during the evenings as the owner Élodie has to be around (she'll share her 4G with you), and she usually goes back to her house early.
Otherwise, you can go horseback riding (150 cedis per person and per hour), canoeing on the lake, hiking, biking, or even rent a motorboat. I'm a rider and the two-hour horse tour I did with Élodie was quite fun, although not super sporty because of the sinuous tracks, bikes and people. We cantered once (no gallop is possible), and trotted a couple of times. After the ride, I went to the Cocoa guesthouse (30 min away by foot), where you can eat and also enjoy a very nice swim in the lake.

I've visited Pakistan two times and try many others mechanic, But now I see why this man is the best in the city. We fixed so many problems on the car that I was trying to do for almost ten days here. What we couldn't find him in progress in a really good way because he's a really good mechanic willing to help.

Just wont to say one, don't waste your time trying to do job other way like me, go directly here and you will fix all your problems for sure.

Very nice waterfall and gorge into the Orange river. Easily missed when driving. Best views from the north side.

Nice place to stay. Bells and rondavels in the distance. One guy was jogging up!!!

Big rock is still there and was a tight squeeze in a Hilux. Did it from Thaba side, 2-3 washouts after the last houses were really rough. Took 2.5 hours from Bob Philipps to the top. Amazingly, crossed 7 other vehicles going in the other direction!!!

Campground is open from 04-09, depending on the weather. Very friendly owner. We paid 400 Lira. You can also use a washing machine. In the restaurant is a live music evening on Wednesday and Saturday

Got stopped and chatted with the officer a bit about our last days in Ghana-which unfortenuately have not been happy days due to our days in a hospital because of Malaria.
Maybe that soothed him or he was just in a mood not to check anything, he "just" asked if we would have anything to support him-as he had several kids, I handed over some stilos and off we went.

(This was the second time in Ghana at all the various police-stops we have passed by that we actually have been asked for something.)

!! Currently it is not possible to get a VoA for Togo.
You need to apply for an eVisa at any cost and you have to apply for it minimum 5 days before arriving at the boarder.

Probably the nicest Municipal campground we stayed at so far. Immaculately clean bathrooms. Swimming pool and a common area right on the Parana river. Highly recommend it.
