we wanted to stay for the week, we called in advance to check if they had water and electricity for our van to be plugged in. They said yes on the phone, no problem.
When we got there, they told us that there are no ways our van could be plugged in and that we couldn't fill out water tank either.
We had to leave and went to El paraiso trailer park.

Here you can wash your cloth with a very friendly family and good price. They are very honest and will take you to their garden outside the city if you want to stay somewhere quiet. They want no money but hospitality. We stayed one night in their garden outside the city and it was fantastic and they were there too and with very nice hospitality. Nice little Coffee House with amazing cakes. They have a quiet outside sitting area, really beautiful.

Very nice and friendly guys. We drive a truck with a wooden box and they cleaned everything perfect. No more desert sand! They even use foam and clean windows. The prices are low and of course depend on the size of your vehicle. There is a large sign with the prices. We paid 8.000 IQD and of course gave a tip!

This is another great location. This is more of a multi usage area for hiking and horse back riding. There is some local traffic during the day but only a couple at night, we were here on the weekend so that might have made it busy. There is pit toilets and a trash dumpster on site. A couple of the sites are on the gravel and the rest are on the grass. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table as well as hitching posts for horses. The campground is very clean, no trash or manure at the sites. We stayed in a 36' class A with no problems. You will hear trains and interstate noise way off in the distance as well as some local traffic on the road. The icon for the camp site is not accurate, the sites are well before the icon location but you will not miss them. The only con to this dry camping location is the grass sites are not very level so expect to do some leveling work if you want to be on the grass. The gravel sites are better but they are in the higher traffic areas as you would expect. We will stay here again on our travels.

Restaurant for long distance buses. Lots of food rapidly ready. Averagely clean. But big parking space (OK for big rigs) and access to toilets (OK cleanliness). A bit noisy (road close by and buses stopping)... but not too many places to stop on this road...

The ferry is currently closed. No signs. Had to drive 80km to find out...

Parked here for the night after climbing Ossa Mountain. Spacious place with level ground. Visible from the road, but almost no cars passing. Very nice view and close to nature, but not much else here.

Great place, a free, fcfs campground with hot showers? Yep, and a nice river walk trail, birds and in the forest. Weak cell service, but usable. Easy 2wd access via both Beaver Creek Rd and Norman Riley Rd (north and south).

here you can find a wonderful museum for free..you only pay parking for 10 rand..it's a beautiful location with hiking trails and changing contemporary art.

Only for tent campers/cyclists, maybe motorbikes. Grassy spot surrounded by trees for (wind) shade and right next to small canal to wash yourself or your dishes. Next to a small road and not 100% hidden but I wasn’t bothered or noticed by the occasional car passing by.

It is a very nice place to stay for the night. The rocks are wonderful, a lot of Chinchillas around.

This is a strip of land outside of the Fort Ord National Monument park entrance that is still on BLM land. The park, while BLM closes and does not allow overnight parking but just outside of the park gate is still BLM. Parked here overnight, no one bothered us.
