10.000 Kwanza for 4x4, 12.000 per Truck per night. Laundry 1 machine 7.000Kwanza. We didn’t feel welcome at all. There was no food available and Juliette made washing the laundry a big deal. In addition they are breeding shepards and keep them in tiny crates, like every other animal they own. The dogs are very reactive and aggressive. As we had our dog with us, they told us it is save and that their dogs are in the crates - in the middle of the night 5 of them approached our dog, growling. If we wanted to leave the campsite for a walk or shopping, we had to wait til they opened the locked gate, sometimes up to one hour.
The pool is nice though, showers are good, the area in front of the parking lot is good to sit together with other overlanders.

Perfect location for getting to know the City. Everything is in easy walking distance while at the same time you can enjoy the peace of this shady little garden. very quiet at night. very clean bathrooms. very friendly owners (who speak Spanish, English and German!). As well there is a gentle community spirit among the travellers who all seem to use Sucre to fix their campers... we had an excellent time and recommend!

Great spot, lovely quiet beach and you can park on the hard packed sand ( easy driving ) just above the beach. A few locals came and went but we had a quiet evening to ourselves. Lovely to wake up to the sound of waves gently washing up on the shore…

Here is a big and open grass spot. You can probably stay here with your car or put up a tent

Quite a large veterinary hospital with all services, including a store and pharmacy. We were able to easily find medication for our dog's epilepsy. Everything seems very clean and professional

Just made this pass in a heavy 4x4 Sprinter 144 with no issues at all. There are many slow sections with larger rocks you'll need to navigate but they've clearly fixed the road since the hurricane damage last year.

This is the ferry port in kuala perlis. Roro on Langkawi express uses this port

We booked online with Langkawi Express a couple of weeks before. They asked for our ICP and motorbike information all over WhatsApp. They were responsive and easy to work with. The ferry was on time. We showed up 30-45 min before the ferry left and were able to check in and board the ferry right away.

Stopped by for a rest - did not stay long because we had further to go but it seemed like a decent place to lay up for a night. Small store and clean bathrooms .

Nice site very hidden and secluded suitable for a motorbike and a tent. It is not perfectly flat and is close to a shooting range so you can hear some noise in the distance until the evening. Otherwise it is a very clean and quiet site.

We had rooms for 30.000 and 35.000 CFA, respectively. The rooms are clean, with hot and cold shower and air condition. Good wifi connection (login for free with the room).
At night, it was quiet, with only the humming of the air condition and the sound of the waves.
Dinner was good but expensive (~10.000 CFA).

Open place over looking the ocean. Out of the way and no traffic. I never seen anyone on a Saturday night. It’s only about 2 min south of Avellanas. Nice breeze and not to bad with bugs either. Good for big rigs ….. not sure I would tent here.

What a cute well run campsite !! The owner is hands on and has gone out of his way to make camping so comfortable. It is a little campsite with a huge pool ,big clean ablutions with a few sheep around and beautiful bird sightings. There is a road close-ish to the site so a little bit of road noise, but not many cars use it. It is gravel. The site is good for a bunch of friends as the braai area is communal. All in all a great get away close to PE, J Bay and St Francis.

It looks like the road in is now being graded. We had no problem at all with access…any car can and did do it.

One of our favorite campsites in our two years of travel. We sat under a shade tree with tables/chairs, a bbq, lights. You can see and hear the ocean from the grounds. Hot shower. Clean restroom. We paid $20usd a night for two and a Land Cruiser. The view alone is worth the cost.

We walked ~3 kilometers into town for groceries.

We will fondly remember the three days that we spent here. Excellent in every way.

Great heritage site
entrance fee internationals 15$pP
guide 3$pP (for 2 or more people)

we tried two times our different credit cards, but it doesn't work. so cash is better.
if you are the first one, then you should have the money exactly because they don't have change in the morning.

we had the the guide Teach, which was really great. He was history teacher and had always an answer to all our questions - we can highly recommend him.
You can contact him before via WhatsApp

we recommend doing the tour early in the morning, because it can get very hot

A Chilean couple traveling on a bus advised us to come and park next to them on this parking along the beach. It was indeed a safe and quiet place for the night. A small playground for kids next to the parking with public toilets and potable water.
