A lil busy n noisey til late, but no knock, no issues, no security, no problemo. A couple other vanlifers all parked away from entrance but close to main (busy) road. Much better and friendlier than the Walmart on North Ave.

Beautiful spot but such a shame all the garbage here. We collected a garbage bag full to dispose of. Remember to pack out or else the Selkirk will no longer let us stay here.

Didn't stay here, discovered the place while hiking. Wonderful view. As the road is very bad, gravel and large potholes, I would recommend an off-road vehicle. Very good cell phone reception and a firepit. There was also space for a tent a little higher up. Just follow the road from pincushion Trailhead.

Good cappuccino for 160 M and terrible milkshake for 220 M.

If you are looking for an authentic Argentinian gaucho experience, we would highly recommend this one. We went on a 5 day horseback riding trip with Rodrigo and loved every second. He can pick you up in Salta at your hostel or you can drive yourself. You are welcomed at his farm where his abuela cooks for you and the tours are guided by Rodrigo and his nephew. There are 2 refugio's in the mountains to visit, we only did one and spend a lovely evening singing by the campfire.

If you are looking for luxury this might not be for you. If you're looking for authentic horseback riding, good food, genuine people,... this is the place for you.

We did the trip without any horseback riding experience, but some people in our group were very experienced and everybody had a great time!

Great workshop to fix or service your bicycle at reasonable prices and swift times. Danny, the owner, is a bike aficionado and traveler himself, so he is more than enthusiastic meeting other overlanders.

spent one night with no issues. very quiet spot at night. busy commuter road beside and lots of cars in and out in daytime.

Stayed for night. Nice location alongside river. No reception. Intermittent noise from trucks through night and early morning. OK

It's a great spot for only $20. Pit toilets and fire rings. Beautiful view and was very quiet. we would definitely stay again. We saw sea lions in the evening!

Crossed from Bulgaria side into Turkey. Arrived around 9am by motorcycle and the whole process took around 1.5 hours. Bought Turkey bike insurance from a booth on the left. He wanted 30 Euro for a month, I paid in Turkish Lira, don’t think he would have accepted card payment. Everything else was pretty easy - customs wanted passport, vehicle registration document, drivers licence, proof of insurance. Just a quick look in one pannier and that was it.
I tried to buy a HGS card (vignette) but the system was down. I think normally you’d be able to do this here.

Lots of the spots have been totally trashed! Please clean up after yourself and others so we don’t lose these spots.

We found this park to stay at night. Very safe and quiet. A lot of space with shade.

As Togo no longer delivers VOA until further notice, I came here to try and get a visa after being turned around at the frontier. It was election day so I expected everything to be closed, but the visa office was actually open. I paid 700 cedis and got a two-week visa within two hours. You only need to fill out a form they'll give you, and have the money and one picture ready (no photocopies, they only take official printed photos. You can get some for about 30 cedis right next to the embassy, inside the Thomas Aquinas School. Just ask the guardian and he'll show you).
Really smooth process.

This was a very quiet Walmart with plenty of parking. It’s near a neighborhood. There were several others staying the night. Unfortunately, it looks like some people are storing trailers here (no one inside, but one had a flat tire), which will ruin it for the rest of us. Overall, it’s a great location.

a dead end road with a large clearing for multiple rigs. very pretty but lots of trash sadly. perfect T mobile service

easy overnight. rather crowded. nice staff inside. if it's full there was plenty of people parked at Walmart! it is graduation week so maybe busier than normal

Perfect free campsite. Fire pit and picnic table at every site. Pit toilets

We were sent here by another mechanic who said these guys can help with the weird sounds our car was making after the ripio part of RN40 south of here. they fixed it very quickly and efficiently. Later that day our sliding door broke and they managed to solve it temporarily (we need to buy a new part in Santiago). Carlos and Javier were so nice, Carlos even invited us to use his toilet & shower and have tea or coffee. They helped us a lot! Recommended!

Hotel on the side of the road but rooms well isolated from the road noise, towards the desert.

Our room with 2 double beds and AC was 400 pesos.
The hotel was empty so they might have upgraded us.

There exist an option with kitchenette (with stove and mini-fridge).

Very clean, Juan Pedro was very nice and accommodating.

Take credit card.
Close to a Pemex gas station with a little supermarket.
In the evening, a small hamburguesa & hotdogs place open nearby. Good food and very nice service.
We tried the delicious embarazado hotdog (moreover gracisouly offered by the owner as we were missing cash and our card would not be working for local transfer ) and the hamburguesa in the little shack by the Oxxo, we didn't regret it, made up for a great dinner!

Our dog was accepted without a problem.

The village is really cute and people were all super sweet as we were looking for an ATM... None for US cards but we could pay the hotel with credit card no added fee.

Juan Pedro and team were helpful and welcoming.

We enjoyed staying there facing the desert (back rooms) .

Pop-up military checkpoint. Not a developed checkpoint, just a couple military trucks, some cones, and a handful of personnel. Not sure if they set up here frequently or not, haven’t seen one here before. Looked in our rig briefly and sent us on our way.

No one bothered us, came in around 6pm and there were a few big rigs and vans here. Lots of light though but good for an overnight or two. Also, Canyon pizza has a lunch special that can’t be beat!!
