Slept here the night before entering Yellowstone. We asked inside and they said we can stay wherever we want behind the building. Parked relatively close to the building in the range of light and cameras so we felt safe. Noise coming from coming and going trucks, engines running all night long and honking trains. It's normal for a place like that, just keep it in mind if silence is important to you.
Went in in the morning to grab one of the best and cheapest coffees I found in the US.
The store itself has no wifi, but close by Albertsons has. If you park close enough to it you might catch it over night.

Lovely lodge, with beautiful decorations and very clean. We stayed 2 nights. We had dinner in the place, you pay extra. Delia and Wilburt are so lovely, friendly and accommodating. They live in the island with their family and do all the cooking themselves. They also brought us to the other Islands to visit them( at a little extra cost). Overall we enjoyed the whole experience, and we would recommend them. ( family travelling with two kids and grandparents). We were able to park our large motorhome in a secure place in Puno.

Paramos para fazer almoço, rua tranquila. Tem banheiro, mas não tem chuveiro. Tem tomada, usamos para carregar nossas baterias. Não vimos torneira.

Everyone was right this place is beautiful. I got here at 4:30 am and was by myself. My doggies ran around before I went to sleep. So happy I found this place. Gorgeous! Biggest mosquitos ever!!

Yes, this route is challenging because of steepness, rough roads and remoteness. And also the altitude. Some signs along the road suggest that it is only for 4wd vehicles. I would say with low gearing as well. We did it with a L300 4wd so you don't need 150hp, with correct gearing 80hp will work too. There is one section trough a canyon which would be to narrow for trucks. Maybe a short wheel base unimog could fit, but it's narrow and uneven, and sharp corners all in one. Check out the other warning way point for this. Maybe satellite images reveal an alternative for this section, although I did not see onefrom the ground.

This section is a very beautiful but narrow canyon. The track goes through it, I did not see an alternative on the ground but maybe satellite imagery can reveal this. I would say only 3500 kg vehicles only because of size. Maybe a short wheelbase unimog might fit, but don't blame me if it doesn't work out. Of course we were too busy navigating to take a picture at the narrowest points...

Yes, you can hide for the wind behind the building, but next to the road are powerlines: the wind howls because of them. And there is a generator running close by. The punto digital did not work.

Very, very lovely spot. Just as described. Spent one night here with fellow car camper and was not disturbed, no one even drove by.

Amazing view but zero amenities.

Beautiful landscape, the gravel road is quite steep at times. Seems to still be running, but at this time of year (on a weekday) there was no one there.

OK campsite for a stopover. Price is 140 NAD pppn and they are part of the Walk in Travel card (50% discount), so for 70 NAD pppn it is ok. Watch out for dog poo in the grass on the campsite (owner had 2 enormous dogs...). Shower was hot!

Nice option to stay in Bujumbura. Rooms next to the pool and bar area are 50.000 Francs per night and rooms in the quieter backyard are 60.000 Francs per night. As the lake is flooded currently the beach bars are all under water so we ate in the hotel restaurant.

Came here as our breaks were doing weird sounds. Turned out that one break pad was completely used up and down to the metal. Luckily the daughter of the owner had the same car a while ago and they still had break pads in stock for 12 years. Everyone was extremely welcoming to us and they took good care of the car and us. There are a few people speaking English.

We wanted to get to the border but were delayed and had to spend the night still in Burundi. This is a clearing next to the road. We arrived shortly before dark but in the rain so we didn’t get stared at. For Burundian conditions few people were walking by. Good for one night before/after the border.

As described, big flat sand land used mainly for OHV but free and perfect for one night on our way to Capitol Reef. Plenty of space. Big rig friendly as well.

We asked Walmart/Costco security guard before going to bed, he said we would be fine on the Costco side and that nobody would bother us. A few hours later a different guard was on duty, knocked on our door and told us we had to leave. I guess it depends who’s on.

Stayed on a Thursday night. Loudest place thus far in a year of full time travel. In between two highways on a highway. Signs say two hour parking. Many stayed the night security doesn’t bother you if your quiet. No trailers or big rigs. Only vanlifers and cars maybe truck camper. We did hear if you are a class c or class A or a 5th wheel you have to stay by the big rigs and pay $$$ per night. Wendy’s is here plus all amenities. Open 24/7. Going to fish around town at PF see if over nights are allowed. In town for van maintenance.

nice, quiet, safe. beautiful view. short walk down to the beach. fire rings, but not much firewood available nearby. prairie dogs, chipmunks, and lizards. 2wd regular clearance fine. backtrack out, don't follow Google maps to the dump. that way needs high clearance and maybe 4wd

Spoke with security about sleeping in the main parking lot and he said I might get woken up for a wellness check so I decided to go to the rvs/trucks parking area in my minivan and parked behind a semi with no load. Was not bothered and had a good night of sleep.

Been staying in the area for 2 weeks now. Pretty much anywhere in Mendocino or For Bragg is fine. Just obey any signs. Most businesses do not allow camping. I spoke to FB police. As long as you're not in the same spot for more than 72 hours straight you're fine.

Cops pulled us over going 80kph, which was posted limit. They showed us fake paperwork of a citation and said to go to the oxxo right behind us to pay 750 pesos. we said no, we will follow you to the station. they said ok, it's 40 minutes but follow me. I argued that I won't follow until they tell me the location of the station. eventually gave my license back. it's corrupt cops extorting people, fight it and report it. good luck and stay safe

Signs are prohibiting camping or overnight parking on site. We stayed anyways and had a pleasant night. Little to no sound, and the lighting was much less intense than the Walmart Parking. Lots of cars coming and going during the late night.
