This site is approximately 200 meters southeast of Ruchert Rd on NF-085 overlooking Martin Ridge. There are a few small pot holes on this unpaved road but nothing that would require 4x4 (unless of heavy rain or snow). There is plenty of space for more than 2 rigs and maybe even 30 ft travel trailer. There's a hand made fire pit probably from rocks gathered at the ridge. This road leads to Horseshoe Spring but the road is blocked by a couple of downed trees. It's a very clean and quiet place.

Really nice spot! Saturday night and not too crowded. Reservation req'd but wasn't a problem. $22 for spot w/ water & electric. Beautiful view of the lake!

Had a quiet night to ourselves here. No mosquitoes! Probably to cold for them yet.

okay so I couldn't find the exact spot set up by the coordinates on the app here. I did find a gem of a spot. if you pass the 7-Eleven going towards La Jolla on Mission Beach Boulevard turn left on law Street. literally right on the beach are some Primo parking spots you'll see other van lifers out there. great overnight no one bothers you. wake up, surf, hit the beach, bathrooms right there, take the dog for a poopy or barbecue.. enjoy life!

Interesting cave in the area but popular with tourists.

You need to pay 3 RON pp entry to the national park and 15 RON pp entry to the cave. 5 RON for kids under 14.

Entry in groups in guided tours. Unfortunately no information or tours in English.

An incredible place surrounded by elephants. There are several camping sites. We prepare our camping spot with a barrier of dry branches and a fire. At night we heard hyenas and several elephants passed by

Wonderful stay. We had a great half day fishing trip with Deon, and caught (and released) a big tiger fish. The amenities are great, loved sitting out at our camp looking out to the river. Highly recommend.

There are soweit places in the area. some with covered picknick places. you also can make a fire.

Nice deli with fresh eggs, vegetables, meet. Fresh bread only on Thursdays.

Highly Corrupted Police. We do everything right. But they find us, but can’t tell us exactly for what. They didn’t even interested in our papers, they want only Money. No Recipe.
We must follow them to the police station.

But now I have the private Phonnumber and the name of the police chief. I hope I can report him on a official side. And the corruption will end soon.

Very silent night, No sounds, no animals, no wind!

Grassy area with 2 lakes where you can swim in. Ground is pretty leveled and it was super quiet during the night. You have to cross a bridge to get here that was a bit narrow so definitely keep that in mind. Lot’s of mosquitoes when the sun sets but other than that super nice because it cools down at night. We didn’t have to pay anything here (nobody was there) just at the entrance of the national park.

One of the best spot we have been so far after three weeks in eastern Canada. Nice view and very quiet. A few guys fishing when we arrived at 7PM, but left with the night. 1 or 2 cars came during the evening, with solo drivers chilling in their cars.

I spent one night here, everything was ok. I thought that because it was Saturday night it would be noisier but was quiet at night

Great place to stay the night. Free! Posted 7 day limit, portapotties (pretty gnarly) and trash cans available. 1 bar T-Mobile depending on where I parked. Some local kids were playing music and riding four wheelers but gone by dark. Quiet night on the lake and took a morning swim. Would recommend.

Very cool campsite near the river. A lot of activies offered : horse to the falls (3h), fly fishing, abseil. The campsite is quite small (4 spots) but was quiet during the night. 360 rands for 2 persons.

It' s a pousada with a big space with trees and shadows. It allows tents and camper. There are toilets and kitchet available. In the main building there is a swimming pool. The place is very next to the sea (little acess). The place is very quiet and noiseless, perfect to rest, study or work. Petfriendly.

this place doesn't have any signs up and I parked on the side PF cause there was only 1 cars in the empty parking area... Sat there for 20mins b4 in left to go in the gym to workout & shower b4 they closed @ 8pm... the shopping strip has a pool hall, 2 restaurant & Kroger is around the corning.. the area has other eateries & Gas station on the corner...

Simply good! We were here for 3 days. A little paradise. At 35 degrees in the shade, our camper stands in the shade under large trees all day. Friendly operators. Wonderful cooling off in the dammed stream. Decent sanitary facilities. 15 reales per person.

Unfortunately the hotel was full when we came so they refused to let us sleep in the main lot, inside the premises of the hotel. Instead we were directed on the outside, right between the hotel wall and the main road. Night was not quite at all, no wifi, no pool access. The upside is that the lot is apparently guarded and our night was free.

I entered here from Saudi to Jordan hitchhiking. A few notes that might be useful to others:
-it's quite a remote border crossing, with only few cars crossing (perhaps 1 every 5-10 minutes), many of them being taxis. The first real city on the Jordanian side is Ma'an, 130km away.
-on the Saudi side there is a petrol station with a good store. On the Jordanian side there are sim card and grocery shops
-as often in the region, you can't cross walking. So you need to find a car BEFORE entering the border area. Close to the petrol station is a good place.
-and FYI, taxis (apparently can be shared taxis) were asking high prices for the trip: 300-400sar just for to cross the border (few km), and 600-1000sar from Tabuk to Ma'an.

Beautiful area for wild camping. You can see the lake and the rock mountain. There are many places around, even some ok for big rigs

Stayed here for two nights, two persons with rooftop tent. Bit of a bumpy ride to get there. W we sAmazing and quiet place, very well kept and really nice groundskeeper. Two lovely dogs and fresh produce in the garden which we were allowed to use. Nice kitchen area with all the essentials, showers were lukewarm at best but not a problem due to the outside temperature. Very peaceful, lots of wildlife & highly recommended!

Plenty of parking spaces open next to marlins restaurant. Stayed the night with no problem and felt safe. Good place to sleep on the way to the badlands.

Pasamos una hermosa noche acá! Lugar muy tranquilo, con unas vistas mágicas y de noche un cielo estrellado único. El camping vale $1500 por persona (mayo 2024) y tiene baños con duchas, parrillas, electricidad y mesas. Hay un restaurante que está abierto hasta las 22 hs. Nos encantó! Lo recomendamos!
