Through the heavy rain in April/Mai the bridge is washed away and it is not possible to cross the river atm. They work on it though.

They just opened a new ablutions block and sell some sodas here. A good place for a lunch break.

Entrance fee is increased now from 80 USD to USD 100 per person and is planned to be USD 200 per 01-Jul-24.

We stayed at eluai and price increased also from 30 USD to 40 USD pppn. Big price for what you get (grass field no view).

We needed to be out next day at 10 at Mara bridge and 11 at Sekanani gate or Talek gate.

We slept inside the Triangle at Eluai Campsite and since the permits are not valid for 24 h anymore but 12, we have been asked to be out of the park by 10am (Talek gate or Sekenani). They didnt issue us a 2h transit permit here.

Bridge to cross from Mara Triangle to the part on the East. You need to show your entrance ticket. That is why everywhere you are asked where you camp/stay.

This is the bridge that connects the east and west side of the masai mara park. There’s an official park office here (like at the gates).

You can extend your ticket here if you decide to stay an extra day.

You can also get a transit here. We used up our 24hr ticket and got a 2hr transit to drive to a gate to get out of the park.

Note that the bridge is inside the park. If you decide to extend or get a transit, you have to show up here before your ticket expires, otherwise you get a 10.000ksh pp fine.
