Mexico
Mainly paved concrete in a walled and fenced lot, most of the staff speak good English. Hot showers.
tent 200p
van 250p
RV 300p
5th wheel 450p
cash and credit cards accepted
Tours for whales ($50usd) and cave paintings. Restaurant prices range from below US$10 upwards. Ambiance and food both excellent.
No filling of water tanks allowed.
Normal daytime street noise but very quiet at night at the back. Quiet time after 10pm.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Rv park correct pour une nuit.
350 pesos avec tous les services.
Conseil : avoir un protecteur de tension si vous branchez votre vehicule en electricité.
Pas specialement concu pour les grands vehicules mais ca passe quand meme.
300mxp full hookup and hot shower
WiFi but not fast
Good for the night on the road to the north/south
Pretty accurate what others have posted. We paid 300 Pesos for our 17' travel trailer. Everything works and it's quiet here. Not a lot to do in this rather run down town, but we did drive out to the salt pans onto the old lighthouse. We needed eating at Black Coffee opposite the hospital, which was quite nice.
Report Check-In350 pesos for a truck-camper.
Full hookup.
Very clean 👍
Wifi ok 👍
Non-drinking water ⚠️
Good for a stopover.
It has all the connections and has a restaurant and a mini super. Don't expect great views, it's a nice parking lot with water, electricity and dump station.
300 pesos for the night.
$350 peso for 28 foot class C towing SUV. A bit of a squeeze but there were some bigger fifth wheels on the left side of the park. Close to neighbors. Restaurant was good and tried tacos el muelle down the street for fish and shrimps tacos, excellent. Street noise and lots of barking dogs at night. Good for a one night stop.
Report Check-InGreat place, excellent whale tour for about 50 bucks. Rooms were clean and nice.
Report Check-InDescribed as previous comments.
A fairly new restaurant across the road is worth a visit or two or three...
Name: Ostrica Seafood! Better Tacos for better prices! Delicious, even more the postres! Try the flan! Protected from wind and cold .
As already described by others. The restaurant is pretty reasonable in quality. 40 bucks for two meals including beer.
Report Check-InThe place was clean, all hookups but water is not for the tank. $250 pesos for a large van. Guerrero Negro is amazing. Don't listen to the commenters who just passed by the town. Visit the mines, the humedal, the dunes, the old light house and pier. Based on the comments we were going to sleep and go but decided to stay a bit more.
Report Check-Innice little place for a night or two. cost per night depends on your rig. I was in a van and my cost was 250 pesos. that includes electric and hot showers. there are walls so it's pretty secure.
The restaurant here is excellent.
This was a decent place to stay if you need to overnight in Guerrero Negro, but the town has little to recommend it. Shower was hot, bathrooms clean, restaurant (while pricey) was surprisingly good and the plate presentation was impressive.
I hope to never stay in Guerrero Negro again, but if I do I would gladly stay here.
Report Check-InGreat descriptions in previous posts. 300p per night includes full service hookup. The restaurant had some pretty tasty dishes & reasonable prices. Real close to town.
Report Check-InGreat price for everything offers. Showers are clean and hot, pressure is fine. There is a dump, water and electrical outlet at every site even if you don’t need it. But that was great to clean our cassette toilet without additional coast. WiFi was good but only in the office/restaurant.
No beach front RV park but if you want to stay in the city it’s the best deal!
Stayed here for the night - it was fine for the night. Clean bathrooms with hot water and power. Average wifi unless you’re right next to the restaurant. We paid 250 for 2 people and our van. A good stop over spot but we wouldn’t hang out here lol.
Report Check-InHotel with RV parking in back. Fairly clean bathrooms & showers, no TP, soap or PT.
The hookups are actually 110 power outlets.
The restaurant was good with great service. Friendly & helpful staff.
We did a tour of ESSO the world’s largest salt operation. Very interesting and a fun way to get out for a few hours with a very knowledgeable guide, his father & grandfather both worked for ESSO. We were happy to use the Wi-Fi at the restaurant to make a few calls back to US and do some emails before heading out.
muchas gracias Malarrimo , Guerrero Negro .
muy bien todo Agua caliente en regaderas perfecto .
todas las reglas por todos lados, pero creo que está bien muy buena informacion.
hace frio por acá.
baños de agua caliente muy bien, servicios muy recomendado 100% internet muy bien.
Great place. Stayed here in 2018 and now again and they got some improves. Hot water, wifi now works inside the camper and full hook ups for 300 pesos, which is expensive for off season, but c’est la vie. Didnt eat at the restaurant.
Report Check-InGreat restaurant in the front with new RV pads in the back next to the old spots. 2 showers and 2 bathrooms with TP. Good for whale watching tours when in season.
Report Check-Inelectric was ungrounded, showers with cold water, wifi did not work. will be trying Marois next time.
Report Check-InStay was fine. Walled and fenced compound. Showers were clean, hot, lots of flow, and didn't flood. Restrooms clean but no TP. There were only about 6 of us overnight. If it was busy it would basically be a parking lot as sites are side by side. IIRC: tent 200p, van 250p, RV 350p, 5th wheel 450p.
Report Check-Inabout $15 a night RV spot - overland rigs welcome. hot showers and electric..nice restaurant
Report Check-InThe site is fine as a pass-through camping.
Filling the RV water tanks is not allowed.
Dogs cost 120 pesos extra.
Renovation of the sanitary facilities would be necessary.
Pads all have power, water and sewer. Very low water pressure.Bathrooms are ok good warm water. Flush toilets. Food at restaurant was good. Has a small gift shop. Whale tours available. overall a goos place to stop and rest for a night or two.
Report Check-InWe stayed for one night, cost 250 pesos with electricity. There is no water available to fill your tank, wifi is very week, lost signal in our van. Restaurant is nice but service is not that good for the prices. The person reserving the spots in the RV park was also not kind. Showers were hot but they get flooded while showering, not nice, the camping was packed with vans and RVs, one after another. We then find Mario’s Restaurant which has also RV spots, much better than this one, is 300 a night but worth the difference.
Report Check-In250 pesos a night for a campervan. Hot shower, decent wifi, electricty. perfect stop for a night or two.
Report Check-InPaid 350 MXN for the night. 15 amp, sewer and water but they do ask that you don’t fill your fresh water tank. Restaurant margaritas were pretty good but you def want to visit the taco stand right next door (pictures). The Torta with carne asada and pork was amazing. Reasonably priced. If you need to do laundry, highly recommend Leon Lavenderia. They did an excellent job and four very big bags cost 700 MXN.
Report Check-Instay was very nice, new concrete pads for large rigs, most of the staff speak good english. Staff is willing to help you find the right people if you need repairs for vehicals , they have tours for whales and cave paintings. Cost is average for campground in mexico
Report Check-InThis is a parking lot behind a restaurant. The electric wasn’t properly grounded so we didn’t use it. We did hook up to water. Quiet and felt safe. I think we paid $200 pesos. Restaurant was good for breakfast but we recommend Santo Remedio (pictured) behind the casino for a great dinner.
Report Check-InGreat spot for a night or two. Parking is in the back of the restaurant. Check-in inside the office. We’re in a van and it was cheaper than bigger rigs ($250 pesos). We don’t need hook ups or anything but it looks like every spot has power anyway ? Bathrooms are decent ! Thinking about showering tomorrow since everyone on here is raving about how it’s the best they’ve had in Baja lol. Doesn’t seem like the gate closes and dogs do wander so be aware if you have your pet too.
Report Check-InWe found this place to be clean and quiet. The restaurant food was fish options, expensive and just OK. I gave the shower a six out of 10 for being clean and hot.
Report Check-InStayed for one night. Nice location (close to town - about half a mile walk to the incredibly popular fish taco truck) but as others have mentioned the bathrooms could use a little love. Like the campground near the highway where we stayed on our last visit this seems like either a single night stop over place or somewhere people stay a couple nights during whale season.
Report Check-InPretty much as described in other comments. the shower rooms need some love but they work. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Minor challenge with the electrical hook up. The voltage runs 127V to 134V depending on the time of day and the first outlet we connected to had an open ground which cost us our surge protector - lesson learned, test every plug before connecting.
Report Check-InWe spent two very good nights in the hotel parking lot 🏨 Hotel Alma Viajera. Don David along with his family and his employees behaved very well with us! The restaurant's food is super tasty and the prices are very reasonable, the rooms are very clean and they look very comfortable, prices from $600 - $900 MXN. They charged us $200 MXN per night to sleep in the parking lot and let us fill our water tanks. The internet is super fast and takes in the entire parking lot. If you need a tour, ask at the reception so they can help you with everything.
Report Check-InCute hotel, nice restaurant, bar & pool table. Gift shop too. Clean bathrooms & hot shower. RV park is just a parking lot out back. For us it was a nice respite to get cleaned up after several nights of remote beach camping. Lots of amenities, but no scenic view.
Report Check-InThis is the 3rd time staying here.
Pros: Perfect location, inexpensive, friendly staff, restaurant, hotel and stores on-site. They also do whale tours ( I did not do this), safety, easy parking, best shower I have had in baja (hot, real shower head, and perfect pressure).
Cons: Can fill up fast (reserve if you can), No gate in front so people and dogs could come in, but I had no issues with either).
I will definitely be returning when I come back to baja. Maybe even do the whale tour next time.
Report Check-InGood camping for a night. Right in town. Cost us $250 pesos for a truck camper. More if you have a bigger unit. Includes electricity, water hookup, sewage dump, wifi, hot showers, and toilets. Well lit parking lot, not really our cup of tea but it was quiet and we had no problems.
We went to the attached restaurant for dinner and it wasn’t great. Food was pretty bland/over cooked and over priced.
Cell reception is great, wifi was ok, better if you sit closer to the hotel.
Report Check-InNo surprises. It’s a parking lot behind a restaurant and motel. Wi-Fi connection is reliable and it looks like they’ve got bathrooms and showers though I will probably use my own.
Report Check-InModest place with clean showers and hot water. Whale tours from here are well priced at $50, which is the same price as at Ojo de Liebre but you also get a tour of the salt works in the drive to the dock. go to Tony's Tacos (Tacos El Muelle on Google maps).
Report Check-InCame to see the whales and the tours leave from the front lot. Tight spaces on pavement but no road noise and a good restaurant up front.
Report Check-InNice place, only one other camper in the RV park when we arrived. Restaurant was delicious.
Report Check-InTraveling with 24’ RV trailer, FHU, stayed 2 days going south and 4 weeks later for 2 days going north, toilets plugged easily, good showers, had two great boat tours and played with the gray whales, enjoyed fresh raw oysters harvested and shucked as we waited at the end of the side road before you get to the old lighthouse, “outstanding” bird watching.
Report Check-InGreat place for an over night spot.
Our Rig is a 37’ trailer and full-size pickup and we fit perfectly in #1 without having to disconnect.
Cost us $350 peso for full hookup.
We were here in 2017 and it looks the same now as then. We paid $250 pesos for p/w/s and are in a truck camper. There are 5 or 6 other units also here. Had lunch in restaurant, 2 adults: full dinner plates, 4 beer for $30US. It was delicious. Dogs barking in the distance but otherwise quiet but it’s Monday night. We are ahead of January’s caravans by a few days so check availability before hand. They will respond to email sent to Malarrimo website.
Report Check-InFriendly staff. Check-in was smooth. Spaces are quite narrow. Electric is 110v outlets but good. We won't need the A/C because it is forecasted to be a cool 67° tonight.
Dinner was delicious. I has the scallops sauteed in butter with garlic. My husband had the grilled octopus. Both were delicious, nicely plated and filling. Service was polite and attentive. Our journey south continues tomorrow.
Report Check-InOverall not a bad place. They have hookups, water and septic connections. However, the place is rundown. Bathrooms are disgusting and gross. Resturant prices are very expensive would recommend going to the taco shop next door. Would really recommend for the owners to invest some money in the facility and the bathrooms.
Report Check-InWe’ve stayed at this RV park at least five nights over the past two years. Nothing extraordinary, but we feel safe here and we can have a shower. We did the whale tour again this year and it was even radder than before. WiFi seemed to be working better this year if you park closest to the restaurant. There is also a good super mercado in town that is worth the stop for supplies.
Report Check-InFui solo una noche, ducha caliente $250 MX.
Cómodo, tranquilo, tienen un restaurante.
Pedimos agua caliente para tomar nuestro café y nos cobraron $20MX
Convenient camping in a parking area adjacent to restaurant and whale watching tours. 4g on Verizon, weak wifi , restrooms with flush toilets and showers.
Report Check-InFood is AMAZING! WiFi is so/so. Rates are what they are. Worth a stop even if just for the food!!!
Report Check-InJust a parking lot behind the restaurant. Simple enough. Clean bathrooms. WiFi doesn’t work. Food is delicious. 250 peso for the night. Power no water.
Report Check-InGood and safe place for a night. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.
Report Check-InBeen here in December 2019 and now in March 2020 and internet doesn’t work at all and no body seems interested to correct the situation...
Report Check-InNice RV park, internet is awful, hot showers but floor becomes wet rapidly since door is broken!!! 285 pesos per night...
Report Check-InWas an OK place to spend two nights while in town to see the whales. Overpriced at 285 MX, but not a lot of other safe/secure areas in town. The restaurant is basically only seafood and the bar is pretty spendy. We also did the Malarrimo whale tour and it was 100% worth the $50. Just FYI, the tour comes with lunch which we didn't know about. We're vegetarian so couldn't eat the sandwiches.
Report Check-InStayed two nights in spot 1. 30ft Airstream and long bed truck. Pretty tight spots, but doable. Lots of big rigs parked fine. Funky bathrooms, hot water, decent WiFi. We didn’t try the electric since we read the town is susceptible to brown outs and didn’t want to risk it. No filling up tanks, but can use water for your stay. Septic was on the wrong side of our rig and uphill, so we had to back into the neighboring spot on our way out to dump. Gift shop, small store and restaurant were all decent. Highlight are the whale watching tours. Highly recommend! The Malarrimo guides were wonderful and we had the best day literally petting whales. Well worth the $$. Whale watching was $50 US/adult for 4hr tour. RV was paid for by traveling companion, but I believe was roughly $25/30 US/night.
Report Check-InThis was defenitely the best place to book a tour to Ojo del Liebre - very organized and professional. US 45 or Mex 900 and you can pay with Credit Card. Tour last 4 hour starting at 8am snd 11am including transfer to harbour and lunch in the boat. Boat ride to the whales is approx. 15 Min. so you spend 2 1/2 hours out with the whales! not just 1 1/2 hours as further south for US $ 50 or 55! During the transfer to the harbour your guide explanes a lot about the salt production of the area and the gray whales. We saw the whales very close - mating, mamas with babys, jumping and diving right by and under the boat - incredible experience.
Report Check-InNice restaurant, friendly service. We parked in the back with full hook hook ups. $285.pesos
Report Check-InArrived before sundown and found a spot behind the restaurant. We paid 210 pesos for our Jeep with a rooftop tent. The 185 pesos price is for tenting if you are riding a bike or motorcycle. If you like quiet nights this is not the place. Somewhat noisy but slept ok. Cold showers but the pressure was good. Just stayed one night.
Report Check-InFlat rock/gravel parking area behind hotel. Fabulous restaurant. Pool table in the bar. Spent NYE with new friends from all over. $285 pesos for a small RV. 23’. Electric HU, didn’t use water or sewer. Shower never got even warm. Caught up on things with cell coverage. Not enough to play Netflix Couldn’t connect to ply wifi outside.
Report Check-Innice park, middle of the village, no hot water, electricity. stay 1 night for 350 MXC$ per car.
wifi not work
Petit camping très tranquille 215 pesos avec 3 services, douche super
Report Check-In$215pesos per night.
Each site has electrical Hook Ups, Water, Sewage dumps.
Hot Showers & flush toilets on site.
Walking distance to many taco stands & restaurants.
Convenience store on site.
Quiet at night.
We stayed 3 nights.
Pretty expensive but we needed a hook-up. We had to pay 285 cause we have a mini motorhome which isn’t different from a van in size. It’s 215 pesos for a van. Showers were hot and staff in the bar friendly. Wifi was too weak to work in the car and it smelled pretty bad in the RV park from the sewers. I uploaded a picture of the newest price list.
Report Check-InCame back and they increased from $185 for camping to $215 even after I was here a couple weeks ago and they still said no. :/ little annoyed about the change but it’s only $30mex
Report Check-InWell maintained place as described by others, the Restaurant is excellent. Showers hot and with good pressure.
Report Check-InFriendly place - seems to be mainly USA surfer guys here when we visited. Nice little shop, cheap bar and nice enough restaurant mainly doing fish dishes
Report Check-InJust a secure parking area for a night. But had everything needed, shower, dump, bathrooms and garbage. Hot water in the women’s shower. I was never able to connect to the WiFi outside but cafe down the road had good WiFi.
Report Check-In215 pesos for 1 night including city water connection, full hook up, dump station.
we asked only for dump, was same price 215pesos but better than dumping in the wild.
they have wifi too
restaurant on site
tienda y tours tambien
As descripted. The food was very good. Wifi was fine indoors.
Report Check-InHotel with parking for RV,s. Cold showers and the WIFI does not work. Charged $10usd for a small camper. Restaurant is ok $15 usd for dinner and drink. Ok place to find shelter during a storm.
Report Check-Insafe parking about 5 minutes off Mex 1 in town
$185p no hookups
restaurant
The RV park isn’t particularly nice but works if you’re stopping for the night. We rented a room in their hotel which has a cute vibe but the rooms are nothing special. The restaurant was the cool part for sure. It’s very cute inside, a little bit fancy and the food was really good (we had filet mignon and it was delicious).
Report Check-InCement/gravel surface, more suitable to van/rv than tent camping. Clean restrooms and shower. Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Did a 4 hour whale watching trip from the hotel which was excellent.
Report Check-InCheck out our video review here: https://youtu.be/rbKFVATHbug
We stayed at Malarrimo RV Park for four nights and we enjoyed our stay. It's a secure park with full hook-ups, clean working bathrooms, and showers with decent pressure. Some days we showered with lukewarm water. We also had wifi but it was pretty slow. Only sufficient for checking emails and social media. These would be our two suggestions for improvement: a larger hot water tank for the showers and better internet connectivity. We also did notice the sewer smell when there were lots of people camped. They get a lot of organized Caravans with big rigs.
Otherwise, we enjoyed the nice Gazebo, the great prices, and the location close to everything in town. They also organize whale tours with bilingual guides.

We would stay here again.
Report Check-InPerfect one night stop for the weekly real shower at a camping with water, electricity and sewer. Wifi was weak in our vehicle. Clean bathrooms with toilet paper. $185mxp.
Report Check-InWe did not stay here because the owner is not friendly. As other reviews pointed out he is indeed a lemon. He talked behind our back and tried to press more money out of us.
Report Check-InFriendly helpful staff here. I paid $13 for a night with hookups in a fairly well-kept parking lot... it’s not really our kind of place- we took nice hot showers and then hit the road.
Note- don’t leave your septic hooked up here unless you want a cockroach infestation.
Report Check-InAfter driving all day on highway 1 it was time to find a place in the nearest large city, so we stopped at this place for the night. Parking is in the back of the building, all places are on cement and there is electric, sewer and water (which we won’t use). Hot showers are available and ok, but no pressure.
Report Check-Inwe rolled into town, got cash, groceries and then decided to stay here and book a whale tour with them. nothing special for camping vit it was convenient to town and noisy until about 8 PM and then surprisingly quiet for being right in town. shower was warm and nice, we didnt use hookups. At 21' and needing no hookups we were still charged RV rate of 230 MXN. Great cell coverage TELCEL
Report Check-InStayed one night in the very crowded campground; the city is very noisy until midnight; the outside restrooms worked not 100% so we had to go inside the restaurant
Report Check-InAs previously described. $11 USD for full hook up is not bad especially when you have wild camped the previous several days.
Report Check-InNice full hookups camping in the middle of the town. The place is a little weird, looks like a big parking lot next to main street but its surprisingly cute inside.
Report Check-InFine for a night. 186$mx for our camper van. Reasonably clean restrooms. Wifi was slow in the evening but fast in the am after everyone else left.
Report Check-InStayed two nights. 186/night for our camper van. Electric and sewer. The WiFi is actually very fast if your connection is good. It was quiet here at night. One shower had good water pressure and water was hot. The staff was nice to us. Good place to recharge, refuel, relax.
Report Check-InUhhh so-so. Hot showered but almost no pressure. Big parking lot. MUCH better option at kadekaman hotel 45 min south in Vizcaino
Report Check-InWith discussions we did pay 186, they want 215. Good Wifi, good showers and Toilets. Very friendly.
Report Check-InA basic stop, RV park. Very safe location however expect some noise from the city. Toilets are clean and flush, warm showers.
Report Check-InVery empty. Not anything more than a safe place to park on our way south for a night.
Truck with camper paid 215 pesos... Steep price as you could also park a 45 ft motor home for that price....
186 for the night. We had a quiet night. Wifi was oke, food was great (expensive but very good).
Report Check-In186 pesos. Parking lot behind a hotel. Hot non salty showers. Power at the site.
Report Check-InPaid 185 to sleep in our truck, prices are not negotiable. Bathrooms clean and showers are hot! Restaurant looked amazing but was a bit too pricey for our Mexico budget. Walked 5 minutes down the street to a cheap taco stand instead :)
Report Check-Inwe was the only RV there, clean bathrooms, the sewer smells. nothing special. good place for one night on our way south
Report Check-In186 pesos per night with no electricity. Hot showers & wifi are included in the price. Restaurant and gift shop are in the front of the property. Didnt shop or eat anything. Basically a parking lot for gringos' huge RVs and buses. When is humid and hot, the sewage stinks bad. You will notice the rocks on top of the holes. Nice play to spend the night after a week of wild camping. Very friendly staff. Recommended place on your way south or north. In general, the whole town is a good place to stock up.
Report Check-Innot much more than a parking lot. Bathrooms were pretty clean but old, one of the showers was missing a head. 186 pesos per night for a tent. The food at the restaurant was really good and inexpensive in comparison to north of the Mexican border, $30 for drinks, main (filet mignon) and desert. In retrospect we would camp somewhere else and visit for supper.
Report Check-InUgh. Will not stay here again. Cramped parking spots. Only one or two still available when we arrived. Reeked of sewer smell. Closed all our windows to keep the flies out but couldn't get rid of the smell. Skipped showers and Left at first light.
Report Check-InBien pour le prix RV 240$ pesos full hookup douche chaud pres de tout bon wifi
Report Check-InDecent spot to stay for a night. Paid 186 pesos for dry camping. Showers were hot, wifi was slow and only worked up by the restaurant. Food at the restaurant was pretty good.
Report Check-InPaid 185 pesos for camping behind the hotel. Sites have water spigots and regular electrical plugs. Also flush toilets and HOT showers. Restaurant is good but a little pricey compared to taco stands.
Report Check-InSafe place. Good people. Food is very good. We got our car stuck in the sand dunes and the owner pulled us out. They were very cool.
Report Check-InYep, still there, but we didnt camp, took a 580pesos room in stead:-). Camp site, no shade, but hookups etc,
Report Check-Ingot here mid afternoon after checking two others
had a very nice dinner in restaurant
$13usd a night for hook ups
decent Wi-Fi
good hit showers
good place to spend the night when driving through baja, not so much for hanging out. restaurant and bar is nice and the owner is very friendly. wifi worked outside at the level of the bar. hot showers = very welcomed cause it was freezy by night and awesome after some days at the beach without any amenities! toiletpaper and soap at the bathroom. the town is not so welcoming, you rather drive further to the bahias. 185 pesos per car/night
Report Check-InPaid 185 pesos for a parking space with electricity hook up. Hot showers. Wifi didn't work. Basic facility, but clean and quiet.
Report Check-InThis is more like a parking area behind a hotel/restaurant with concrete and gravel surfaces. Showers were actually nice and hot and facilities clean. But again it's just a parking area near the main street with lots of noise at day&night. 15$ or 185 pesos per vehicle, cheaper for tent campers. Restaurant is expensive but nice. Wifi painfully slow.
Report Check-InPaid $185pesos for a van with no hookups. As stated, concrete pads and not much more. The shower room I picked had barely warm water, but hubby had hot. Internet is sporadic. It worked for a night.
Report Check-InThe camping leaves something to be desired, especially if you are in a tent. Mostly these are just gravel spots for vans or RVs to park. It was the only place to camp when we went through town. The restaurant is great and there is usually wifi, although it was broken when we were there. Wifi was broken when we were here.
Report Check-InCamping at the motel with a very good restaurant. Electricity / water / waste water at site. Good bathrooms and the hottest showers in Mexico.
(Originally $ 14 / day)
Report Check-In
