Description

This camp spot and this river are absolutely amazing! We found it thanks to the other wild camp spot listed, you pull into that spot and come a little bit further down the path and will arrive to a more secluded spot. This is a locals bathing spot so there is some trash unfortunately but other than that there is direct access to the river and a campground on the other side of the river so it feels really safe! The river right here is just warm, but we swam all the way up it and it got progressively warmer and then hot by the springs! The water is crystal clear and shallow. One of our favorite spots in South America, if you want to have essentially the same experience that you get for paying at a campground but for free, come here :)

We spent 3 nights on the banks of the river and it was super quiet. We leave you some recommendations:
👉🏽 The parking space and the way to enter are small. We traveled in a Ford Transit and we were fine but much larger vehicles may not fit.
👉🏽 Be careful if it rains, as the road becomes very muddy and it is easy to get stuck. It rained for us for 2 days and it was difficult for us to get out.
👉🏽 To get there you have to follow the directions to go to Biotermal, but before crossing the bridge you have to take the small path on the right.
👉🏽 The town is small and there is no Claro signal. Around the main square there are stores that sell Tigo chips.
.

There's a bar and a restaurant across the river, prices vary between 40 and 80 bob for a decent meal. The bar is visible from the shore, the restaurant is a bit further. Very nice scenery. We rewarded ourselves here for having a very shitty border crossing day.

We ended up staying 3 nights. Very friendly locals. They do seem to enjoy throwing diapers around, which is a shame, other than that beautiful place. Really hot water!

Best wild camp spot we had in Bolivia! Locals come for a dip and their laundry during the day. Super quiet at night, everyone was happy to see us. You can even swim to the other side and buy cold beer in the hotel! Just relax the entire day in the super warm water.
