Free camping at Engen service station | Informal Campsite

A nice place to put your tent and sleep for free, friendly people here, small shop and ATM available, very safe place only a little busy and some people before sunset.

A bit dirty, but behind the gas station you can pitch up your tent, and nobody will see you. Watch out for metal stuff on the ground.
There's a generator that gets turned on every like 20 minutes directly next to the shower. I was too lazy to move my tent further away, but I still was able to get enough sleep.
Staff is friendly, we watched Tom & Jerry together, and I gave them some Pepsi Max. :-)
Very basic hot food available like French fries with sausages + canned food and water.
I could charge my phone at the checkout.

Still letting cyclist to camp in the backyard. The petrol station has a small but nice shop and even a litle local restaurant.

And probably the most wonderful part, bathroom and hot shower can be used! nice people working.

As said above, really nice free place to put a tent. Staff are friendly, and while it was a little noisy, it quietened down later on.

Nice spot for cyclists, the lady there is a real sweetheart and is happy for people to put up tents in the yard. There are toilets and running water, and cold beer for sale at the shop. There is WiFi at the service station, but the lady might need some persuading to give out the password.
