(not the exact GPS location) We didn’t find a lot of options around Kamloops to pitch a tent so we stopped at this grassy pull off. You can park and pitch tent behind bushes near the trees to be hidden from the road but the cars’ noise from the road is still very loud all night long. There are many fire pits and access to the river.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Noisy but a nice view. Right off the highway. Close to Wells Gray park. There were a couple of us tucked in for the night.
Report Check-Ingreat option for close to Clearwater. there's a pullout and then a further pullout to that pullout. cool bench made by a previous camper. can be hidden from road by the bushes. the only negative is the road noise feels like it's amplified for some reason. traffic did not die down overnight hah.
Report Check-InNice spot by the river, we loved it. It is close the the road, but the river and the view made it will worth it. We did pick up some garbage that some "people" left.
Report Check-Intons of garbage, toilet paper, and other junk. PLEASE clean up after yourselves! you get all the highway noise but enough shrubbery to give you some privacy still. there’s a log bench and a couple fire pits. room for a couple vehicles but not a lot of room to turn around in
Report Check-Indecent spot to stretch your legs, could pitch a tent in the trees. someone made a bench, and fire pits.
Report Check-Insome what private spot, right ofc the hiway. just a few feet above the river. I spent the night here in my jeep it was fine. there is cell phone access and a decent place to walk the dog and stretch my legs. would probably only be ok for a single night.
