Latest Check-Ins

lots of open spots, not super level but worked fine for our 25ft class C.

Report Check-In

Small campground near entrance to WMA of Prentice Cooper State Park. Actual sites are somewhat difficult to determine, presumably anywhere near each rock fire ring and are close together. Very busy during dates of a managed hunt in the WMA, which closes the road to Davis Pond site. Several generators, barking dogs, etc. made a Saturday night pretty loud.

8/10. Awesome free site. Lots of space so you can really spread out from other people. Bathrooms were the cleanest pits I’ve seen. Couldn’t find any water but also didn’t really look. Fire pits for each site and easily got in in our mini bus. The site we were in was a pull through that could prob fit a big rig

Report Check-In

Everything still as described, rolled in at about 9:30pm with no issues, there were other campers but still plenty of spots open. Had a very restful night, great place to stop. There are fire pits in every site, not much available wood on the ground so went back out and got firewood from the Food City about 15 minutes away.

Description is same. Note that water (now in mid November) IS OFF for winter, not sure when that takes effect. The other campground in this park is emphatic that there is no arrival after sundown at all, but this location allows you to arrive later as long as you are quiet by ten pm (quiet hours).

Report Check-In

Still good option. The last check in was a long time ago. Still free pit restroom very clean. Apparently some permanent campers
