Just next to the bridge there is a dirt road along the river. We camped 100 meters from bridge. Looks like local hangout, there are some fire places. Easy access to river, also with car.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There are lots of camping spots along this section. We stopped at the road end in shady trees but can drive along the hard river bed to spots further down. Then go back on track to further open spots. Great mountain views and a fabulous lupin display at moment!
Report Check-InBel endroit pour passer la nuit au bord du rio. Calme un peu a l écart de la route. Aucun service sauf reseau tel
Report Check-Innice place, we didnt drive further into one of the other spots mentioned because of lots of rain that made the ground too soft. This first spot was no problem. You hear the cars feom the bridge but not too much. Calm at night
Report Check-Innice quiet place, slept 150m from the bridge in tent. between 18 and 10, only 1 camper and 1 horserider passed. clean water access: there is a small stream coming from the left, approx 500m from the bridge on the dirt road (small wooden bridge)
Report Check-InMuy buen lugar. Era verano. Estaba limpio y tranquilo. Se llega con una bajada de ripio la lado del puente, es fácil de encontrar.
Report Check-InAbsolutely wonderful place. River, trees, rather flat spot, space for everyone and NO trash! ENJOY!
Report Check-InGood stop by Ruta 7, going a bit further away and hiding from the traffic.
It's about 100m away but we still got dust from the street. In the morning the spot is in a shade and quite cold as such. We moved to the river bed for breakfast.
If you are coming here and you are with tents or roof top definitely go for the next spot along the way. To access turn right into the river bed before this spot and after 30m you will see a road going to a little forest. That spot is much nicer and further away from the street. Tall rig might have isuse to go in as to access there are some branches (small ones, so might push through).
Report Check-InReally good spot, quiet and with lots of space.
We arrived late but the road to access to the beach is really easy to see, even during the night.
We reveived the visit of some locals (horseriding men) who were passing by in the morning. Really cool people, it seems they possess some lands a bit further and are used to see campers.
Spent a week at this spot. decent entel connection. Careful in heavy rains, the river will overflow and cut u off from the main road
Report Check-InFantastic spot as described. We camped down the shoreline as far as we could, and were virtually unseen from the road. We are in a big rig and no problem. Wouldn’t want to venture this far down the beach with 2wd though as the rocks are loose. Stay closer to the bridge and forest in 2wd. Was well protected from the wind. Site along the water would be affected by river levels.
I walked the road down to the next site that appears on ioverlander. Not as good and very sketchy road and bridge to get to it. Not for any larger / heavy vehicle. Appeared others had been recently stuck on the hill climb.
Report Check-Innice spot for tent, motor, cyclist, campers. near river. wind protection. just near the bridge.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. We stayed under the trees next to the river. A lot of space for everyone.
Report Check-InPerfect spot for a night. Quiet, sheltered from the wind and rain. If you want a wash, we recommend taking a dunk in the glacial river, but beware, the hot tap is broken!
Report Check-InVery good spot for overnight. Plenty space to choose a spot. Nice views. 3g Entel!
Report Check-InVery nice (clean) beach for a picnic or for the night. Most surprising feature is that Entel 3g signal is pretty good here!
Report Check-InGreat place to camp or stop for lunch! Large sandy-stony beach.
Report Check-InWhat a great spot! It is far enough from the road to not get all the dust. lovely. quiet. Totallt recommended. Please take your trash. This place is currently trash and toilet paper free!
Report Check-InGreat spot. Camped between the trees with Moto but you can also stay on the sand or gravel. Plenty firewood and water from the river.
Report Check-InWe camped here with our 4x4 overlander at the river bank. Perfect for a quiet night.
Report Check-Ina little sheltered from the main road. Under some trees. I found a micro-sd card here with lots of climbing pictures. Enybody lost one?
Report Check-Inmany places by the river. a few locals watched me from the dirt road but no one said anything.
