Monamodi 1 Campsite | Established Campground

Came here (camp #1) for two nights. Tap water was working well, the leopard came at night to drink from the tap (small plastic bowl filled with water on the ground below the tap) because the nearby waterhole only had dirty water which he didn‘t seem to like. We saw hyiena tracks around the campsite, lots of springbok, kudu, steenbok, bat-eared fox, ostrich, vultures and a leopard turtoise around the pan and waterhole. It‘s a birds paradise, so many different kinds. Nature is wonderful, very green. Most roads are corrugated, average speed 20km/h. Waterholes around all pans/camps were filled except for one in the north, Lesholoago. Unfortunately all campsites are not maintained at all, they look run down, but they still do what they need to do.

A very basic camp with just an a frame and tap for running water. We had a visit from a hyiena during the day and a leopard and cub visited the nearby water hole otherwise very quiet at night.

Note this site only has a shelter and tap. No toilet or shower like camp 2

No fences around.
A lion was visiting us every night so keep an eye open.
30 pula pp camping and
20 pp entrance and
4 for the car
nature pur here but not too much wildlife around when we where here.

Not the best view, but it has a tap with running water (may not be working in dry season). Must be booked in advance through DWNP. Price 30 Pula per person per night.
