Description

When you get to San Cipriano you'll have to pay a 5,000 cop pp entrance as it is a natural reserve. Along this 4 or 5 blocks town, you'll be offered
flotadores to swim down the river and hikes to a waterfall.

The flotadores are great fun and they cost 10k all day (negotiable). Walk to the last permitted charco (where the 2 rivers merge), jump on the flotador and let the current do it's job. It took us about an hour and a half to swim down the river and back to the town. Some parts are super quick and exciting! some others are just relaxing pools.

The guided hike to the beautiful waterfall is also a worthy experience. It costs around 30k (negotiable). It is recommended to do it with a guide since you need to walk through the jungle, cross the river, streams and you could easily get lost or find undesirable animals. Once you get to the waterfall, after walking through the wet jungle for 30min, climb the rocky wall and dive into this refreshing natural pool!

Tip 1: Wear comfy clothes and shoes, it's muddy and you'll get soaking wet. We wore swimsuits and crocs and it was the best choice due to the mud and to swim in the river.
Tip 2: Take a waterproof bag
Tip 3: Take a gopro or a waterproof camera
Tip 4: Choose low season
