Description
A very nice small village with upscale hotels, restaurants and shops. We walked from Lamu along the waterfront, passed through the village, and visited the small fort. The long stretch of beach from the fort is pristine, no trash, no development, huge sand dunes, and clear water for swimming. It's really gorgeous.

Shela is really an extraordinary place. Cool people, nice hotels, romantic village, cute donkeys and delicious restaurants. We were there for 5 days and we fell in love with it. Coming back. We parked our truck in Mokowe for 500 Ksh per day.
