Latest Check-Ins

Just visited this an hour ago. Quite sandy road to this site. Just Pass site 3 and you will be there. Lots of baboons.

Report Check-In

Stopped by to have a look, but atm it was very muddy all over and pretty bushy. Not a good place to stay atm. Maybe in the dry season it’s nice.

The most beautiful CS that is available. Ask for „Campsite 4“ and you will be happy if you love Elephants!

Report Check-In

The most private of all the camps. Camp 3 is also nice but if some nosy parker or opportunists drive by its right next to the road. This camp if you look at maps me is very far from the road and it only leads here. Weak MTC signal, 1 bar LTE or 2 bars 3g. For some reason this time of the year only hippos and birds.

For some reason there’s a burning smell in the air here at night and in the morning. Found the source of burning…please put out your campfires properly before you leave! :(

Forgot to mention we had stunning 4G Mascom service at this spot :)

Report Check-In

Nice spot with decent view, the area is nice & open which is a nice feeling when you know animals are roaming around in the bush behind you.
only saw hippio, and they came through camp in the night!
We had wanted campsite #3, but arrived late afternoon and it was booked. I asked if we could stay In camp #4 & explained I knew how to get there, the ranger thought I'd been there before and agreed it was no problem. Though we did pass a very unhappy lady in camp #3, who asked to stay in camp #4 & the told her no. Perhaps you only get this spot if the others are full :)

Report Check-In

Yes, this used to be Campsite #4, now officially closed, at least to the permit system. As described, though we did see many more animals than the 2 nights at Camp #3. At dusk, a herd of about 50 baboons passed through, all around us, while a herd of Antilopes and a large group of elephants pass by. I do have the picture with a few of all the 3 animals in a single frame. Meanwhile the hippos in the water just behind us where hollering. Shortly after we heard lions behind our camp. All this while we where sitting at our camp fire. What an exciting and humbling experience. Felt like I was in a Jurassic Park movie.

Report Check-In

Large flat open area with no shade. Very little wildlife seen or heard, but the wet season is only just over.

Report Check-In

Yes, it’s the ‘back up’ site, depends who’s on duty and if they like you I think...

Report Check-In

It exists if you turn up and are polite and nice.

Report Check-In

It exists if your nice. Ask politely etc etc

Report Check-In

We were told this campsite doesn’t officially exist, and nobody recognized the name. There is a ‘backup’ camp when all campsites are full, thats probably this camp.
