Busy campground on a spit outside of Bodega Bay, CA. Reservations are required for camping due to pandemic. Cost for a basic (no hook-ups) site is $37/night + $4.44 taxes + $9.50 "reservation fee". $7 if you want to use the dump station. Flush toilets, pay for hot showers, no wifi but good Verizon coverage. Lots of day-use folks on sunny days. Water is potable but tastes salty/bad.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice beautiful place by the beach. But is overpriced: $57.94 for one night, including a $9.50 “reservation fee” and $7 to use the dump station. No hook ups, paid showers.
Report Check-InMust get reservations at least one day in advance. Lots of spots, over 120. Busy area but fun to bike around and relax by the beach. Both t-mobile and verison had service
Report Check-InDoran county park campground on the tip of the spit is awesome for a pay campground. I got this reservations from a friend that could use it. It cost $79 for two nights. No hook ups but who cares. Views are amazing. Without an on line reservation it would be impossible.
Report Check-InAbsolutely no drive up or FCFS camping.... must make reservations 48 hours in advance. Called Sonoma County Parks and the guy was so helpful and said to try Wright, Pomo, or Willow campgrounds more north
Report Check-InThis park is open to overnight camping again. However, it is very popular because of the pandemic (and because it's a gorgeous area). Reservations are required for camping.
Sites are currently $32 plus a $9.50 "reservation fee".
Be aware that this location can be VERY windy!
There was myself and one other van in the "tents only" Miwok section. Both of us were with tent campers, but no one bothered us about actually staying in our vans. Similarly, there is a no hammock rule that no one seemed to enforce.
Report Check-In$7 for the day. Big family place. Clean bathrooms. Right now campground is full and they are not doing walk-ins. Dump station available. Okay spot for the day.
Report Check-InThis spot is a rare gem on Coastal Route 1. I was asked to leave the Sonoma State Coastline by a trooper and he alerted me to this secret pulloff that is outside of the State Parks jurisdiction. They cannot enforce here, so it’s safe to park overnight, right by the ocean! There is a trailhead here, to lagoons, jogging, and park benches. I’ve stayed here twice with my sprinter, absolutely no problems.
Look for a blue sign, “Bodega Coast Inn and Suites”. The pulloff is adjacent.
Report Check-InWe wanted to use just the showers but you have to pay 7$ fee for the site's day use and min. 2$ for the shower.
Report Check-InEmpty campground on a spit outside of Bodega Bay, CA. $30/night seemed outrageous to us. Standard bathroom, pay for hot showers, no wifi, full hookups.
Price: $30/night
