Description

Very nice new eco hostel set close to the beach in San Lorenzo.

SURF: the owner rents surfboards.

It was opened a year ago. The owner, Yoan, is french and he is really friendly. He is working on upgrading the hostel.
There is place for tents, but not sure what the price is. It also has space for bikes and motorbikes. Doesn't have much space for cars or vans but I think that one can fit, so just stop by and ask. I don't know if he accepts pets but I would think so. He has a cat himself and a nice garden. I am also sure he accepts family with children.
Matrimonial rooms are $12.5 each.
Dorms are $10, although the dorm only has a bunk bed with a matrimonial bed at the bottom and a single bed on top. He has 1 dorm and 3 matrimonial, but he also has extra space at the neighbour's house. The rooms and facilities are really good, comfortable and clean.
A nice breakfast with fresh juice, bread, jam, egg, fruit and avena is included in the price.
There is no warm water, but if the weather is warm you can have quite warm water from the shower outside.
There is a nice terrace made of bamboo with hammocks to relax upstairs.
He does have a kitchen but he currently doesn't let hosts using it as he had previous bad experiences with other hosts (Yoan lives in the house, so this is his main kitchen). However, when we were there, there we were the only guests, therefore we eat together.

IMPORTANT INFO: The village is not really touristic. There is no bakery. A guy passes at 6.30 am and in the evening to deliver bread. There is one place open at night for food, just by the church. It only does papi Pollo, batidos, tostadas and empanadas.

We went in low season, but Yoan says that in high season the village is much more lively :)

As we were alone, Yoan took us out with his friends and their family to do a small hike to try and see the monos!

En la próxima bajada a la playa, se puede pernoctar muy tranquilamente al lado de un restaurante familiar. El cual también recomiendo para comer
