Description
Sea turtle rescue.
Just few steps after Rancho Tranquilo, walking along the beautiful beach of Jiquilillo, you will find this place, where Dennis (from California, but based in Nicaragua/Arizona) create a please all around turtles. He’s rescuing turtles eggs, make a nest for them to grow peacefully, and as soon as they are big and strong enough he put them into the ocean, giving them a bit more chances to survive. He’s really passionate about it.
If you would like to see how he works, help him and know more about the project, you can just drive to his place, where he also built a dorm with shared kitchen a toilets, or park your van in the big grass in the back of the house (just few steps from the beach). Prices are 10$ for a bed pp, or to park you van and use toilet is about 5/7$ per car.
