Hardeveld Lodge | Established Campground

The lodge is very nice, with really clean toilets and shower. Also there is a small outdoor kitchen and tables to sit. There is wifi but first we were told when asking two times specifically if there is any chance to use it that a service worker needs to come and fix it and that it doesn’t work. However when other guests arrived it suddenly started to work and we got a code. So in the end our stay was really nice just the hustle with the WiFi was a bit wired. So maybe ask in advance if it works in the case you really need WiFi.

Very clean and spacious room, airco , bathroom, many electric plugs, asked 500 rand , let it for 425, tasty dinner . Secured Parking. Little Place for camping .

Truly a very convenient stop. Cobus and Hester are very friendly hosts. We had a nice camp with power, good windshelter and very clean ablution with wonderful hot shower. In the shelter you have power, fireplace, water heater and microwave. Good WiFi at the shelter - weak at the camp. Nice protected pool you can use. Wonderful garden to admire 😁. We can only recommend this place and would defenitely stay here again. ZAR 180 ppn.

We had a lovely stay! The hosts are very welcoming and kind. We only stayed a night but it’s a very good stopover on the way north or for exploring the area around. The bathrooms are super tidy and warm water is available. 150pppn. Would recommend.

very nice place to rest, very friendly people ,all very clear with all that you need, chicken, hot shower, pool , nice spaces to camping, I recommend to carry food because the shop is very basic and close very early, I paid 150 zar, only is possible whit Cash no card.

Beautiful small campsite, very well maintained. Very clean ablutions. Friendly owners.
Perfect for a stop over for one night since it is very close to the N7.
There is WiFi in the communal area, but it is quite slow.
150R pppn.

Great stop over. We arrived as sun was setting. Not booked. No problem at all. Very friendly and helpful. Clean ablutions. Hot water. Very secure. Good price.
Highly recommend.

Great convenient stop over right off of the N7. Everything clean and a warm welcome. We didn't ask about Wifi, strong MTN signal. Still 150 rand pp per night.

The best campsite we’ve come across between here and Cape Town. It’s exceptionally well run and maintained. The ablutions are spotless (and have toilet paper and soap!) there’s a little scullery area where you can use the stove, kettle and toaster. The owners take a lot of care in the place and it shows. 150 rand per person.

Highly RECOMMENDED this place!
Swimmingpool & room where you can relaxd and chill out, you can take ☕️& 🫖. You can see movies if you want. New owner very nice and you feeling WELCOME! Very hot shower and good working toilet with toilet paper. You can do your dishes too. It is very nice and clean!! Come to this place and enjoy it! 😉

camped on the small patch of grass and was really comfortable. there are 2 seperate communal cooking areas which are nice. bathrooms clean. not much in town so bring food to cook. 150r. friendly owner

New ownership, same price 150pppn. We arrived right before 5:00pm and had no problem checking in. Anna was very kind and helpful during our one night stay. Ablutions were really clean. Overall a quiet and relaxing stay.

Not impressed at all. After a long day of difficult back roads, which slowed our journey significantly, we arrived at 5.30pm, they rudely refused to help us and told us to go away.

There is nothing in the area so were forced to seek a wild camp, which is not easy in this area.

Most travelers dont arrive at lunch time and with extended day time. In summer before dark. No idea if the owner thought we were late or what the problem was, however I would not recommend this place.

Wonderfully clean and well set out.
Access to undercover braai and kitchen facilities.
Amazing and welcoming hostess.
Even lent us a extra blanket as was very cold.
Highly recommend.

Fey was very helpful and even put me in a rental tent with an extra blanket when it got cold.

Overall great and very comfortable place. Everything was spotless. I loved the communal areas!

Fey is a lovely, warm hearted host. 150 Rand for Camping. Clean abolution. Microwave, kettle, stove all available.
There is a little shop just around the corner. You can see there is a lot of love put in this place. Loved it here.

Highly recommend staying at this amazing campground/lodge that goes above and beyond to provide multiple common areas (indoor and outdoor), pool, braai, clean ablutions, well maintained camping areas, and a super friendly owner Fey who makes you feel at home. We were impressed the second we got here as it’s a high quality campsite kept in great condition. Camping was 150 per person and a room costs 400 per person. We took a look at the rooms which were very nice, and ultimately decided to camp on a flat grass patch — there were many great spots to choose from. The indoor common area has couches, television, chess, books, and kitchen tables. The outdoor common area has tables, sink, kettle and other cooking supplies. There are also electrical outlets provided. We arrived on bicycles and this place had everything we needed for a fantastic rest.

Such a great place! Exactly what we needed after a hard day on the bicycles. Everything is super clean and there's a great place to cook and access to a lounge as well. we've stayed at loads of places over the last few months and this is definitely one of the best. Fey is so lovely as well. Highly recommended!

Very nite place. Near to the N7 and very near to the local road. Windy at the time we were there. The owner lady was very friendly and helpful! 110ppn.

In the middle of nowhere, but it is like an oasis. grass, clean toilets, hot showers, protection for the wind, free coffee and tea, TV and DVD place, books, braai, swimming pool... Very nice people. 130 pppn.
