The road is really rough and washed out. Not suitable for RVs. 4x4 likely needed or go reeeally slow.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This post is about the road condition. There is no established camping on this stretch of road. Break Point Glamping (pictures) is in La Fortuna and cannot be accessed by this stretch of Camino Cabo Este. There are big boulders placed across the road 1.1km east of this location (23.08551,-109.59804) blocking completely the road. The other boondocking places are accessible with high clearance and 4x4 recommended although there are signs of Private Properties all along the road.
Report Check-InTried passing this road in out 1983 dodge ram for reference and turned around as it wasn't long from dark. Got a ways down it but there is a rock climb we weren't willing to try. Camped at the dock instead.
Report Check-InDid not have a problem traveling from Cabo Pulmo to Cabo San Jose via Camino Cabo Este. Dirt road, rutted and washboard, but no problems. We had 4x4 and aired down tires. Careful on Beaches, but do able in 2WD.
Report Check-InThe dirt track that others state is closed on here but you can drive all the way from Km18 to Cabo Pulmo in 2wd if not raining.
Report Check-InA resort bought up this section of road and it is entirely blocked off.
Report Check-Innot sure why you would take this road. google says to, but the obvious road doesn't go to the coast here. we didn't come this way so i cant speak to road conditions, but follow the main road to get to the beaches (shipwrecks, nine palms, etc)
