My name is Josh Dulac. I am the new owner of this property. Purchased from Mike Martin (old owner).We are now Casa Mango Puntarenas. Not CasaLilu. I've already submitted new updated photos and a description to create a new location as Casa Mango. I understand that this is a volunteer run application and I want to say thank you all for creating it and puting in the work to keep it running. I will set up a monthly donation as soon as we get this all straightened out. As this App not only benefits the travelers, but me as well.

Report Check-InI am the new owner of this property, formerly known as Casa Lilu. I changed the name to Casa Mango. Somehow, MikeMartincr, the old owner, is still listed as the creator, and he was able to comment as "Casa Mango" and say the place is permanently closed. We are not closed. When on the overlander app, we receive about 3 travelers per week! Without about 3 per month. I will create a new Casa Mango with new photos in the same location. Can you please delete this old one.

Report Check-Inthere is an other owner, a friendly american guy. but the place is under construction and he asked $23 to stay on the parking at the B&B next door. We drove further.
the place is very small, jou can not enter the beach but there is a nice view under the palm trees.

The slots for a van are limited to 2/3. So make sure to make a reservation ahead.

Report Check-InFirst Stop in CR! Mike introduced us to the magic of this country! Very big and nice place with a view on the water where you could watch hundreds of birds and occasionally crocodiles. good and clean bathrooms. The owner was very friendly, talkative and helpful! we were greatful to stay the first night at such a safe and nice spot!

Just for future reference for someone like me who is traveling on a bicycle or a bike. They don't accommodate tent campers , only RVs and cars.
Report Check-InSpotless place! Very clean and quiet. There are 3 locations so it's best to call Mike before arriving. You can go to Puntarenas by Bus for $2 round trip. We spent 3 nights there so much we were there. In addition Mike and Luisa are very friendly and peaceful. A treat this place :)

Report Check-InGreat place to stay for a night. Very clean and well kept bathrooms, shower and camp spot. Luisa and Mike are very friendly and helpful and we had a relaxed stay! Outdoor sink to use and a nice little table under an umbrella. We are tempted to return for their boat tour as it sounds awesome!

Report Check-InMike gave us a really nice and quiet place for two days. He is really helpful, makes everything to make you a cozy stay and is a person for good talks. He charged us 15 Bugs per night for two persons incl. Wifi and Electricity.
The facilities are very clean so this place is totally worthy for what you get.

Mike responded very quickly via WhatsApp to let us know they had an open space for us. This is a nice secure place with even nicer owners. We enjoyed our night and may stay again.

Report Check-InThis is a very lovely place with an amazing view of the water, lots of birds and boats. We came for one day decided to stay for 5 as it was very relaxing and the owners are great. Mike is very friendly and helpful. They have nice clean shower and bathroom. There is a beautiful friendly dog. I highly recommend this place for a night or a week. This price is also great and worth every penny. Also very safe.

Report Check-InThe best place we have been so far in Costa Rica. Clean, waterfront, safe, typical CR neighborhood, very friendly, Luisa and Mike are great, even "Oso" the dog is cool.Wifi, shower, bathroom, power, all good. Tons of birds in the estuary right in front. It's quiet, rather on the small side but big enough to hold 4 rooftop campers. They let us use the pool since nobody was in the house, an Airbnb they have. Price was USD 15,- per night, close to the Paquera/ Naranjo, Puntarenas ferry, - well worth it !

Report Check-InPlace is nice, calm and safe. Super friendly and very helpful owner. The cleanest bathroom and shower ever seen on a campsite. Definitely a recommendation. The owner gave us lots of recommendations for our route and things to do in the area. We would come again.
Report Check-InStayed here for a night. $15 per car. It's a nice stopover for a night or two. The view onto the river is quite nice and the showers and toilets are super clean. Potable water from the tap.
You camp on the parking lot of the Airbnb right at the river shore. If the Airbnb is not rented, you can use the pool and patio, otherwise only the amenities around the parking lot.
They have a young and playful dog called Oso. Unfortunately, he is very much into chasing cats so it didn't work out for us with our cat.
The gate is locked at night and the whole place has video surveillance. Smile, you are on camera ;-)
Report Check-InWe stayed here for 10 days, enjoyed the peace and quiet and the clean grounds. As described, 15 dollars a night with electricity and bathroom. Guarded with cameras and the dog has been super friendly with our dog. We were also able to use the pool and the beautiful terrace with. The Airbnb is really very nice. Mike and Luisa are super helpful, are familiar with many topics and sometimes we sat together and talked. Thank you for the great hospitality
Report Check-InGreat location on the river close to the ocean. Being right on the water there was a nice breeze and a parade of birds at low tide. Bathrooms and grounds were spotless. Hands down the best campground restrooms. Electricity was available. Mike and Luisa were perfect hosts. Secure location, gated. We would not hesitate to stay here again. $15 per night.
Report Check-InWe needed a safe and secure campsite for a week while my husband flew home to the states to take care of a few things. We found it and more at this site! the parking area is level, clean, comfy, and has stunning views of the river. the bathrooms and showers are perfect! Wifi is good. We were lucky enough to be there when no one had rented the AirBnb house onsite... because that meant we could use the pool and sitting area by the house. it's important to know that the pool is not always available. There is a washing machine that you may use for a fee... and two super friendly pups! Oh..m high quality electrical outlets if you need power... you will pay a bit extra if you run AC from the outlet! But, the best part of this camp is the owners, Mike and Luisa. We cannot say enough about their kindness and help provided while we had to do minor maintenance on our van. Our van is 22 feet long and 10 feet high and we were able to fit. VERY IMPORTANT: You have to reach out to Mike via WhatsApp/phone before going to this camp. we called at 8am and he answered on the first ring! Top Notch Campsite!

Report Check-InBeautiful campsite right at the water. It is well maintained, very clean and you can use the pool as well. There is only space for two, max. three cars with a rooftoptent or campervans.
The sunset is beautiful and the view on the river stunning. There is always something to see like pelicans, fishermen and if you are lucky a crocodile.
The place is very safe. A little shop us close by. Best thing is writing Mike in advance to check if there is enough space.
Very clean and quiet place right on the water. Shower and toilet and kitchen sink. Electric and water. You can use the pool and they have bikes and kayaks for rent.
