Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
When you get there, park at your site, then go pick up a pink envelope by the entry sign and fill out. Sites are not level. No water or power. Bathrooms functional and fairly clean, but no shower. No laundry. T-mobile service down over night but then up again in the morning... no idea why.
Report Check-Inas previously described. nice out of the way BLM campground. clean, "real" bathrooms, no showers tho. 8-10 fcfs sure with covered picnic tables. 2 rv only electric/ water dies ($18), no dump station. other suites are $7, day use only is $5. exact cash or check only. bring all your supplies with. there's a Sm market I saw at the highway turnoff. petroglyphs are worth the hike, about 2.5 miles round trip. the village is in the opposite side, about 1 mile round trip. pets are allowed but not in the office or bathrooms or on the trails. nice place for a couple days adventure or overnight stop. I stayed til the 7th.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay. Bathrooms on site with access to Water. Camp host is on duty so fee payment for site is Mandatory. Dry sites $7, but with NPS park pass only $3.50. Both sites with electric hookups were closed when I was their.
Report Check-InCash/check ONLY. Discount rate with America the Beautiful pass (aka National Parks pass). 2 RV sites with hookups ($18) and about a dozen dry camping sites ($7). First come, first serve as stated. Bathrooms are clean and place is well maintained. We caught some service with Verizon.
Report Check-InA marked road heading east of hwy 54. A very clean and well set up small camp area with tent sites and a few RV sites. 2 with electrical,($18/night) fresh water and wet restrooms. It’s also the trailhead for an historic archeological site hike with a few dwellings and a large amount of native American petroglyphs.
Report Check-InWonderful place to stay. Gets full pretty quickly. Thinking you could pay the $7 camp fee if self contained and parked in a parking spot. We picked an open spot. Uses iron Ranger with cash pay envelope. Nice hiking to see Petroglyphs.

Report Check-InNice, spread out, small campsite. A bit exposed, but they supply tables and cover. Quiet except for usual camper sounds. Nice.
Report Check-InThis is the nicest BLM campground I've ever been to and only $7. Cool trails (no dogs allowed though) + easy drive from White Sands. Three bars Verizon (enough to work) - a much appreciated stop! First come, first served.
Report Check-InWhat an unique opportunity to camp at a site with over 20,000 ancient petroglyphs. Just 5 minutes from Hwy 54.
