Great spot. Being a Harvest Host member, I was able to stay in the rear, bigger lot. Both are paved. But the back lot is considered private property, and the gates are locked between 4:30 PM-8:00 AM.
Great area to take a walk, including with your pet.

This is an Historic place. It is also a Harvest Host. If you have your passe, you will be allowed to sleep within the safe and closed area. There is a train passing by at night but can deal with it. Very nice place.

very sketchy. left at 9pm. we got here at around 4pm. looked fine, quiet. but as soon as darkness hit things got sketchy with people. found a big parking lot at the double tree Hilton not far from here. looks safe.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night. The parking is next to Vermillonville. It is very quiet, even if we are close to the airport.

Report Check-In

Really nice place to stay for a night. Was here for the international festival and needed a spot to sleep. The people in the museum are very helpful. Will give you the password for the lock and can help you find your way around.

Went to check this place out. Comments are accurate about main lot being closed off and the overflow lot being close by. This place being sketch was also accurate, a lot of cars and people just hanging around. Decided to not risk it and stay somewhere else.

Report Check-In

A bit noisy because of the highway but okay. The people from the park will nicely give you the gate code if you ask, so you can park in their secure parking lot, away from the public restrooms that seem to attract weirdos

Report Check-In

Park closed, but parking lot on the side
EDIT : didn't feel safe at all, strange people in black cars driving around and stopping at differents spots, left very quickly when he parked 50ft from my car.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. No change from previous info. Apparently the airport is nearby. No other campers.

When I wanted to add the place, I think I mistook coordinates. It is the Walmart at Alexandria : 2050 N Mall Dr, Alexandria, LA 71301, États-Unis. Sorry for the problem.

Free overnight parking. There is a small lake and there was a school bus and another van for the night. Very peaceful and nice location! There are toilets across the street.

Report Check-In

We can park at this walmart. Just park on the outskirt.

Report Check-In

Came by this place around 6:30pm and the gates were closed. We were able to park in the overflow parking area for the night. There was another campervan and schoolie doing the same.
Beautiful place, even in the parking lot. Water near by where we could spot birds in the morning.

Report Check-In

Good evening, Road People. It is Feb. 2022 and the site is still open for overnight parking. Dark, next to water, some light road sounds. Seems to be very safe. Only one other camper here tonight, a cool Schoolie. Toilets at tennis court across the lot.

Report Check-In

We had a very quiet night here then found the bike path into town( it’s opposite the tennis courts)
The bathrooms are a bit rough it are open all night.
There’s tons of parking here for rigs of any size
We had some personal administration to do in town so spent two nights as it’s also a good place to have a rest!

Report Check-In

We arrived here after discovering the Girard Park parking lot pin is completely off so do not go there! We did get to the actual park but it is clearly marked as a no overnight camping area

This spot looks lovely and quiet though and we may even take in the museum in the morning!

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay for a night or two. There are bathrooms across the street by the tennis courts and a water hook-up, but you will need a long hose to reach.

Report Check-In

There are two parking lots. One is gated and locked after 4pm. It’s for Harvest Host users. There is another lot that is overflow for Vermillionville and open to Harvest Hoster user, boondockers and is also used by anyone who wants to fish in the nearby River and pond.
We did the Vermilionville tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.
There is also a walking / cycling path that starts here.

Report Check-In

Very excellent. We were the only ones staying here for the night. Everyone was very friendly, the food was great and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Report Check-In

Just FYI. This place is a harvest host. They were closed when we arrived and we decided not to stay even though we are members. It looked very nice though and would stay there in the future!

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 30.21370, -91.99730

As described by others. GPS coordinates are wrong but submitted correction. Street address is 300 Fisher Rd. Lafayette LA.

Report Check-In

Huge Parking lot. we arrived when the museum was closed, so the gate was locked, but there is a big Parking in front of the other Parking lot so we just parked there, with another bus-van. The museum is really worthwhile visiting with some "life-performance"- a school teacher, a spinner, a native guy, a violin player! (at closure-hours, the restaurant is also closed....)
