Great spot down Shelton road. High clearance at least, 4x4 recommended but not necessary up this point. Some glass and shotgun shells found - typical blm land trash around here. Nice views, very rocky, quiet & more secluded than other blm spots in area - only saw one car on the roads in our 2 days here. 4 bars LTE Verizon

Great location. Road is a bit sandy at first but the spot really worth it. Flat, peaceful and the nicest sunrise.
Report Check-InRoad in is sandy and a little deep, keep momentum through the first quarter mile or so, then gets more firm. It’s Not too bad. Several spots to pull off. Nice location with views of mountains and valleys. I would be cautious coming here if it’s raining, as there is lots of run offs. 2 other people were there. Nice and quiet, although you can hear the occasional gun shot from the shooting range a ways away. Overall a good place and nice location on BLM land!
Report Check-InFull bars for ATT, yay! road is a bit rough and rocky but go slow and you will be fine. There is fine soft sand so be careful where you are driving. Very rocky so watch your step.
Report Check-InCame in late when Joshua tree was all full up. About 15 min from the park’s north entrance. Passed a few camp sites on the way in but glad we followed all the way to the coordinates because it was wide open and flat with gravel floor instead of dirt. Road is a little rough but saw a Prius making his way out coming in so don’t be skeered!
Report Check-InVery soft sand in the beginning kept my momentum up and had no problems getting through, then a few wash areas to cross and voila a quiet place to yourself, beautiful setting!
Report Check-InStayed in a rock gravel space on the right side of the road, Just past the two trailers with the wooden fence. The road in is loose sand but well used, it is a bit hard to find as it has no street sign. Good cell service and tv reception.
Report Check-InAwesome spot! A bit bumpy getting in though. The parking is about a mile off the main highway. Made it no problem in my promaster. The road will feel much more comfortable if you have higher clearance. Once at the spot, you are graced with a large, mostly flat, gravel space with lots of options for parking. Here on a Wednesday and haven't seen a soul. It's a good place to remind yourself what real silence feels like.
Report Check-InGreat spot - but mice were brutal so take some precautions to make sure they don’t get in your car. The road is bumpy but it was fine for my promaster
Report Check-InNice quiet spot. Two other vehicles on the 1-mile stretch we drove. But deep/soft sand - we got stuck, luckily found a board to shovel/dig us out. Great sunrise.
