Superb State Park with stunning views, great hikes & amazing sunsets. Electric & Water sites $23 a night or just water $16. 50% off 2nd night with a Texas State Park Pass & no entrance fees either. Tent sites $8. Only negative are some of the bathrooms dirty. Although superb, new build bathrooms, some have poorly designed flooring that shows all stains etc & shower curtains filthy. Apparently looking to make changes soon to alleviate these issues. Otherwise a superb State Park

Outstanding park. Big. Clean. Friendly staff. We stayed two days and wish it were longer. We biked. Hiked. Fished. They have a nice fishing program loaning you poles and gear at no charge. We had a blast. The sites are spacious. We had water front site and plenty of room.
Report Check-InExcellent AT&T coverage. Good trails if you have a dog because they are gravel or rocks and very few stickers in the paws. Some bouldering on the trails add to the hikes
Report Check-InGreat AT&T coverage and really good trails for walking with the dog. The trails are either rocks or gravel, so no cactus stickers in paws! Some bouldering on the trails, so it makes for interesting hikes.
Report Check-InGreat established camp ground if you need. Stayed at a water only site near the lake. Steps from the lake and 2 minutes to facilities. Firewood for sale at vending machine near bathrooms. Beautiful place, chill rangers, honor box. 8/10.
Report Check-InPassing thru. Good spot for a nights stay out longer. I was in 54, you'll know your neighbors intimately as all the sites cluster together. The Park was booked full during Texas national holiday, spring break. Some sites along the water have nice space and views. No complaints here, just sharing facts. Good Verizon LTE
Report Check-InGreat State Park and lake. Rent kayaks or bring a boat. Lots of places to swim. Strong cell signal if you need to work from here.
Report Check-InI am posting in here because I did not post before. If you do not want to pay to camp there is a nice picnic area on park road 4 west to the south and east of Inks Lake State Park. It is in the road near Longhorn Cavern. We stayed at Inks Lake but wish we knew about this place since we only stayed a night. You can stay in Texas picnic areas for 24 hours no problem (there is a specific ordinance in the state that allows this)- most picnic areas at least have tables some have port-a-potties. Most are very quiet- especially at night since traffic dies down after 6 or 7 pm.
