Description

Beautiful secluded primitive campsite beside Loudermilk Wash. Incredible views and extremely quiet. Great place to relax for a few days. Good Verizon LTE reception. Lots of places to explore.
2 Wheel drive would be ok if extremely dry. No trailers.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed here a few nights, the stars are incredible. A shooting target/block at this camp as well as a fire pit. Basic cowboy camp but enjoyed it. Watch out for rattlesnakes if you go walking around near the washes..

Great place to get away. Paved road to non washerboard and non potholed gravel road. No body out here from 4 pm to noon the next day. Few fire rings and that’s all. Great place for some recreational pursuits.

Way out north of Interstate 8, just west of Gila Bend. Easy, maintained paced and hard-packed roads. Then, we made a hard right at the farm, went about a mile north. Left side (west side) of road there was a depressed bank from where numerous vehicles have left the maintained road to camp. Beautiful, open land, lots of cacti, and LOTS OF EMPTY GROUND-SQUIRREL HOLES!! We learned l: a two wheel drive RV or Camper-Van can get to the site off the road>> but BEWARE the holes or anywhere near what look like squirrel holes. SOFT SAND!—- we got stuck and needed a tow truck to winch us out. Otherwise, it was a peaceful area to camp.

Although two wheel drive MAY be ok, would NOT recommend it. We were in a two wheel drive Dodge Sprinter camper van and when we were leaving, we got stuck in 3 ground squirrel holes. Our rear differential and right side of the axel got high-lined. We tried to dig out with a shovel, use boulders found on site and firewood we brought to get traction. We ended up having to wait 2 hours for a tow truck to come from 70 miles away on a Sunday. It was not until the third try with the winch by the heavy duty tow truck that we finally got out. Consider yourself warned if you attempt with two wheel drive.
