Something not right?

Description

Part of Ironwood Forest National Monument. Camped away from the road just before a deep wash. Options for larger rigs. Quite a few good areas. There is road noise from large truck traffic to the mine early morning. Here are also low flying planes. Overall great site for me. Plenty of areas to walk/hike and explore. As always scout the area before blindly pulling in. It gets muddy when it rains.

Latest Check-Ins

Everything as described in previous reviews. Easy to find although I missed the turn off from the main road n had to turn around. Packed dirt road. Went over a couple washes b4 finding my spot. Lots of room for any size rig. Careful going thru wash as the road is rough in places. I'm driving a sm SUV pulling a 13' trailer. Good Verizon.

This area is fantastic, large, and plenty of space for all sized rigs. That's why it's so sad that there's an older gentleman who walks his three dogs off leash, twice a day, letting the dogs poop anywhere they want and he just leaves it. The road near my camp has over thirty piles of dog poop, just in this area. Even being asked politely if he wouldn't mind picking up the one his dog just left in front of my car, he declined and rudely justified his right to leave it all where it lies. Sickening. Incidentally, this man can be heard long before seen since he's yelling at his dogs to follow him, scaring away a Great Horned Owl I spied last night. Shameful. Pack it in, pack it out is truly a no-brainer. Except I guess if you're special. Otherwise, it is a gorgeous area with tons of Saguaros, brush, and fire rings. (Also true, the mining trucks and low flying helicopters/planes are a thing, but those are okay tradeoffs for this area, to me, they aren't constant.)

Beautiful camping area, level and easy to access spots. Other campers around but spread out. A little bit of noise from planes, shooters, and occasionally from the road, but nothing that bothered me. l had fun exploring the dirt roads with the dogs.

Plenty of space for various size RVs, close to National forest

Relatively nice area and its easy to navigate my 25' trailer and in. The area is highly used, and it shows with lots of shells. There is a sparsity of wood for fires. T-Mobile 5G and 4G signal easily streams HD videos. The really nice thing about this spot is it's closeness to Cortaro and more. It has never gotten over 25 percent full.

BLM land NW of Tucson. Some shooting nearby at times. Lots of overhead plane activity. Good cell reception.

Quite spot surrounded by Palo Verde trees and saguaro cactus. T mobile service fluctuates between 2 and 4 bars. Nice view of the mountains. Lots of room with a variety of spaces. I spent 3 nights here and enjoyed every minute.

This place is beautiful!! Lots of pullouts to park. Very quiet even though there are a lot of others camping.

Report Check-In

Nice flat road, but a bit bumpy so I had to go super slow over some spots. Plenty of pull off areas. Sign posted that you can camp here for 14 days.

Convenient, secluded, lush desert landscapes

Report Check-In

Less than a mile from the edge of a rural neighborhood but still a nice spot in the desert to stop for the night. Some noise from a nearby road (can’t see the cars) and some low flying planes. A few spots along this road and some big enough for multiple rigs. Only 1 good turnout big enough for stopping before you get to any sketchy parts in the road. A few good spots after the sketchy parts too but i would highly recommend 4x4 and high clearance. (These coordinates can be accessed by high clearance vehicle, not necessarily 4x4) Saw hot air balloons in the distance in the morning.
