Road in to the trailhead is pretty rutted now but I saw a mini van and some other small cars at the trailhead nearby. I made it easily in my 4Runner. There are a few other spots just past this main big one that could a vehicle. Need high clearance for those. And then just past that the road become pretty rough.
Report Check-InEast Mesa Trailhead and parking is BLM LAND (“day use” but rangers don’t check). Stayed 2 nights off peak season, no issue. Don’t start a fire, pack out your trash and be quiet.
Ignore the “private property” signs coming in. They apply to the easement and are trying to coerce tourists to take their shuttle, eat their food and stay at their “resort”
Enjoy the stay.
Report Check-InExtremely muddy, could not get to the sight. Nearly got stuck with a 2 wheel-drive. Apparently there is a man near who makes a lot of money towing people out of the mud so be aware.
Report Check-InWe loved this spot. Not far from the trail head. Not buggy, pretty quiet but the trail head parking begins to fill up pretty early. We took the first pull off right past the trail parking. (Didn’t go further in.) for our Tacoma + RTT and we had an area for a clam tent + privacy tent. It was clean and very nice.
Report Check-InAbsolutely dreamy spot. Ridiculous views of the stars and about 400 ft from the OP trailhead. We overlanded in a 4Runner, and had zero issue getting there.
Report Check-InCute spot outside of Zion, there was a few other cars during the day - I’m guessing there’s some hiking trails nearby.
Report Check-InSmall pull off, about 30 feet deep, mostly level. BLM land feet from Zion. Trail heads nearby. If dry, only need high clearance, if wet 4x4 and maybe chains. No cell.
