Something not right?

Description

No asphalt, no concrete, no WiFi, no MTC reception, no toilets, no shower.
But beautiful spot at a sharp curve from the Kunene. Quiet, hidden from the road, lots of shadow and firewood. Saw crocs, Dikdik and later an bigger antilop as well, some nice monkeys around - no baboons.

Absolutely charming place within a sharp bend of the river. We spent only one night but would have spent much more time if we wouldnt have to cross to Angola in the next days.
You can be seen from the road but very few traffic and the view downstream at sunset is amazing.
We shared one of our meal with 2 Himba children from a local shepherd family. Plus nice morning walk on the river bank with the kids. Definetly recommand!

Nothing short of amazing! We spent a great night here. Very beautiful and tranquil. A number of locals passed / came to grab water from the river, but they were very chill and friendly.

Amazing spot, really.
You can be seen from the road and a local himba or 2 might pass by, there are really friendly and don’t want to bother.

You can park on the sand close to the river, a little bit further away the sand in hard and the view is still amazing.

We were able to swim while being careful though.

Very nice spot in the river bank. A lot of firewood. We saw an Himba walking listening music on his smartphone in the late afternoon and two children in the morning. They came to fill water at the river. We gave some food.
