We refilled here our european bottle with 9kg and payed 12Dollar. It was very fast. Only one person with longshirt is allowed. No Dogs and no Children at the area.
Maybe the only place around Cuenca to refill bottles.

we come on the previous late afternoon at 415pm.. they ask us to come the next day.. come at 8am , waited till 1030 and the big truck arrived and help us refill.. worth the wait for us.. one suggestion put your children, pets and women in the Hostel or campsite as only the driver is allowed to go in... but the people there are so lovely and friendly.. muaks

Also filled our 20lb US tank no problem. $12.50. You have to check in at the entrance gate and they will call up. Then you need to drive in and up to the next level where they will fill the tank. Open on Saturday.

Re-filled our Argentinian balón 10kg for 12.50 $ . Very friendly people, and very used to doing it.

Filled our USA tank no problem within 30 minutes. You need to be wearing shoes and pants in order to enter the property/parking lot. $12.50 for a 20lb tank.

é uma planta de gás e combustível PetroEquador. você não pode entrar nas instalações da planta fabril. conversei com o porteiro e ele nos ajudou intermediando com um caminhão de distribuidor que levou nosso cilindro junto com os outros. pagamos $20, dólares mais $2, de propina. no meu caso eu tinha um adaptador para o Botijão do Brasil.

We filled out German 11kg bottles with US Adapter. 1 US Dollar per kg.
you have to park in front of the main gate.
wait for a oncoming distributor truck.
He will take your gas bottle, fill it and bring it back.

They charge “industrial” gas only, which means it’s much more expensive! 15$ for 15kg (even if we have a 13kg bottle), in comparison to 1.39$ for 15kg domestic gas!
We didn’t read the no children first post so i had to leave the camper at the entrance And wait for a truck to take me inside... 🙄 overall it took 15min to fill and 45min to get in and get out!!!! So either leave your kids in a playground in Cuenca or say you don’t have your kids with you...

We couldn't refill our argentinian bottle. You need an adapter. (and they can't change the valve here...) But nice people!

Nous avons pu recharger ici notre bouteille belge en 1/4 h. Le personnel ici est très sympathique.

We were able to fill here our Belgian Tank in 1/4 h. The staff here is very friendly.

Súper caro, cargaron nuestra garrafa argentina de 3kg por 5,50 dolares. las de 2kg también la cobran a ese mismo precio pese a que le cargan un kg menos. Es la planta más cara de todo ecuador.

en la verdad hablamos bien como los ticos y después de mucho piensar en una maneira de conseguir llenar nuestra botella brasilena, cambiamos la parte superior (el encaixe de Brasil) y ponemos un de aquí. Así llenamos la botella.
Nos custou 12,50 dlrs para una botella de 8kg.
Muy buena gente

they wouldn't refill our US tank. they said we had a "weird valve" but it's a standard US wellington bottle. we ended up calling number provided in a previous post and the man who answered was very nice and helpful and said he could meet us with his tanker truck tomorrow in Cuenca. probably best to call that number and arrange everything with him first. no price as tomorrow hasnt come for us yet :p

Nous avons rempli notre bouteille française avec le raccord acmé pour 10 dollars. Cela a pris 1/4 d'heure. Les enfants ne sont pas admis dans l'entrepôt.

Paid $1 per kilo. Had to wait ~1 hour to get my bottle back, unsure as to why as everyone was very kind as attentive. Did not have to deal with any tanker truck as the prior post mentioned-the bottle was filled directly at the pump.

Filled our US fixed tank from a tanker truck - they had the correct attachment. We had to wait 3 hours as the tanker wasn't there when we arrived in the morning.
Only charged us a tip.
Note it is illegal in Ecuador so be discrete.
