Something not right?

Description

Spaces are close together and only a few of the tent spots have shade. $47 for no hook-ups. $10 per extra person after 2. It’s expensive and no privacy but you are at Shelter Cove so the views are beautiful and it’s an easy walk to the beach or local eatery. We had a great view of the sunset from our campsite. They do have a dump site and propane. strangely there is no restroom. you have to use the public restroom across the street.

I had to ask for myself because I couldn’t believe the prices but yes $47 for a tent site in a paddock of baked dead grass. $57 for RV. About 4 trees on the perimeter but no shade to speak of. The attached shop has very expensive food. Only business in town except the Harvest Host which doesn’t open til 5pm and you need to book 2 days ahead

I would not stay here. they wanted 47 bucks for a patch of dead grass and 10 bucks per person more than 2. They are the only game in this little town so they are taking advantage of people who drove a long ways in. I would recommend to not stay here if you have a choice it's not worth it.

Like other have said, it’s expensive and offers no services. We were also told to use the BLM restroom across the road. They wanted $47 a night for a tent site with no utilities. I might have paid that until she said for our 3 kids, it would be an extra $10 per child. That is $77 a night to sleep on a patch of dead grass while using someone else’s restroom across the way. No way, Jose. Go stay at Wailaki instead for only 8 bucks a night. Much better spot only 6 miles away.

Report Check-In

It’s okay - pricey for what you get (just a piece of grass) but the views are nice and the showers are hot and free for campers.

Report Check-In

For $39 you get a piece of grass to set up your tent, nothing else. You must use the BLM maintained bathrooms across the street, no WiFi (unless you want to pay for that too)or trees. Such a ripoff. Very windy place and not that charming of a town.
