Great spot to pull up in a van/RV. Can easily fit 4/5 vans/RVs up here - nowhere to pitch a tent though. Pull up at the top near the trailhead sign, don't enter the gated area towards the viewpoint, and you're golden! Flat ground that backs up to the start of a trail - great place to wander for a nature wee, although there are toilets just a 10 minute walk away down by the viewpoint. There were 4 different vans/RVs parked up when we were there so clearly a popular spot. There's also some more parking just down the road next to some large piles of gravel/dirt if you can't get a spot here but the ground isn't as flat and the toilets are further away.

We arrived at around 6pm and left at 9am, only 1 car arrived in the morning at around 830am. The viewpoint closes at 8pm so there were no cars after that. All the other vans that parked up did so at around 6-8pm. Pretty patchy signal on Verizon, would come for 5 minutes and go for 10. No signal on AT&T.

Very nice trail through forest to the ocean. Parking fits a few cars and maybe two medium size rigs. (13” camper and truck fit on side of road).

Fairly popular in weekend for hikers.

Verizon did not work at all. Too many trees for Starlink.

Stayed here last night. very quiet. No problems at all. fairly level. 23'rv.

coming from the south, this is fully accessible! Cape Meares lighthouse/area is fun to explore during the day (1/2 mile from this spot). and this trailhead lot is flat and quiet. like someone mentioned, eerie when there is fog! two trails from here— one leads down to the beach (absolutely incredible 2 mi roundtrip hike to some amazing tide pools) and one says it leads to a giant tree (but sadly the trail seems overgrown and not maintained). at least 1 other van was parked here, too. spotty AT&T and Verizon.

Report Check-In

Very quiet and secluded just before the road is closed from Oceanside and just outside the entrance to Cape Meares state park.

Report Check-In

Just a heads up that the road (and trailhead) is closed for a logging operation at the moment. We stayed at a pulloff down the road.

Report Check-In

nice spot. we were the only ones here. did the hike to the beach early in the morning before anyone else got there! discretion will probably help this place stay available.

Report Check-In

As stated this place is still open! It's only accessible from Oceanside though, the road to the northeast is closed.
Quiet, flat, gorgeous and the trails from it are great. Nobody bothered us

this spot is accessible but most ppl are being led by Google to wrong spot. you need to go thru oceanside to get here. it's next to a nice state park.

We tried to get here but the loop road is closed, it seems to have been that way for a while and pretty permanent- there was a metal barrier across the road. We went further up a different road to try, but that was blocked off also.

Report Check-In

We had a lovely quite evening here. Google maps almost deterred us, as the road coming in from on Bayocean Rd is partially closed. We just continued along 131 thru Oceanside, ignoring the detour that Google maps suggested and we arrived without any issues.

For some reason I can't change the rating, but we def give this place 5 stars!

Report Check-In

WE LOOOOOVED THIS PLACE! It was so quiet and there was lots to explore. We stayed up the hill, at the trailhead. Not a lot of early morning traffic. A little bit of AT&T service

Report Check-In

So thankful for someone sharing this spot! It was dark and quiet (almost eerily so) and I could faintly hear the sound of waves. Saw a couple deer on the drive up. Not another vehicle from 9pm-7am, and a trail down to the beach for a morning walk. So much better than a pullout next to the side of the road!
