Description

In Government camp, west of the rest area on Government Camp Loop Rd. You can park on the side of the road. One side is plowed each night so check the signage and make sure you park on the other side. It can be noisy but calms date late at night after 10pm. There are 5 bars of Verizon. Good place to stay overnight for activities in Government Camp.

As you go further down the road there are stores and restaurants and then more road side parking. There are restrictions from Nov 1 to April 30 - you need a SnoPark Pass.

Latest Check-Ins

I checked this out. I would stay at Trillium Snow, Park, or snow bunny 2 miles east.

Report Check-In

Pulled onto the side of the road, there were tons of other people parked for the night. The people parked there gave me a bad vibe. Looked like the cars were parking there for long term and tons of stoners smoking. Left this spot for a different one down the road.

Report Check-In

Parking permitted on alternating sides of the road, based on the day (signage outlines this). Parked and camped in trailer on south side of the road, no sno-park permit required. No issues, but lots of road noise during the day.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 2 nights without issues. Road noise during the day and some early in the morning, but totally doable. Looks like it would be more problematic during the winter season due to plowing and parking restrictions. Lots of other vans and RVs around.

Such a chill spot in the summer, you’ll see hella other rigs posted up on the side of the road, just pull over and enjoy your stay!

Report Check-In

There is a lot of space between the gas station and where the restaurants are. There are signs on either side that state which side will be plowed that night, just park on the other side. After 10 this road gets really silent. Each time I've been there there was plenty of other vans doing the same thing. It's well lit so feels safe and it's flat. Convenient to Ski Bowl and Timberline for back to back ski days.

Report Check-In

This place was sketchy as hell, something wild happened to me and i had to leave in the middle of the night
Heard a bunch of noise, then something hit my rig. Turned out a bunch of people lined all the porta-poties up in a row and just kept driving down the road slamming into them. One skidded into my rig, no damage but freaked me out so I left. Drove past someone screaming and yelling, probably down bad and on drugs. Lots of other rigs there, in various tax brackets. Maybe I just had a bad night

Lugar tranquilo para dormir, perto da rodovia, mas não faz muito barulho. Dormimos aqui para subir o Mount Hood no outro dia.

In Government camp, west of the rest area. You can park on the side of the road. It is noisy, but easy. There 3bars of Verizon. Good place to stop if there’s a forest fire up the road as there is today.

As you go further down the road there is less traffic noise. There are restrictions from Nov 1 to April 30.
