Nice place, dark, quite. Zero Verizon coverage. The access road during Vermont’s “mud season” (end of winter) might be a challenge for non 4W maybe. Today it was frozen. But if it was slush I would debate whether to go up there. The road from the nearest town is not paved and same applies for the parking. There are new brown signs navigating you to the place, so it was easy to find. Portaptotty available even in the winter.

Great little parking spot about 15-20 minutes outside of Stowe, this lot also has a sign allowing overnight parking. The lot would be okay for car camping and medium size rigs.

If you've got some time, there's also some hiking trails and the Mansfield Trout Club within walking distance!

Nice big quiet parking lot. We stayed 2 nights with our trailer. Planned on 3 nights but in the morning after second night somebody from the trout club came and told us we can’t camp here and need to leave. He said the parking lot is on private land and intended for overnight hikers of the long trail.

Little confusing finding it at first but we're there and it looks good.

Report Check-In

Excellent and quiet.
We were the only ones all night.
A local came by in the morning to make sure we were packing out our trash.

Report Check-In

No problems getting there in a small car the dirt road is very well maintained. No other cars. I saw no signs, other the the sign saying parking with an arrow. uncertain if the is state park property or private as part of the Trout river fishing club(something like that), it's right on the line between them. I had no cell service with T-Mobile. if you're in the area and like beer be sure to check out Von Trapp Brewing!
