Wild camping past Slough campground about 1/2 mile. Road in with small turnaround, beautiful view, clean, high clearance 2wd, and no cell service.

Free campground with several quiet sites surrounding a small resevoir. Keep driving past all the posted land until you reach the Modoc National Forest sign. Clean and odorless pit toilets with toilet paper. Picnic tables & fire pits. Free water near the toilets. Water spigot says untested and not to drink. No Verizon signal. Dog-friendly but be bear aware and do not to let pets drink out of or swim in the resevoir due to potential toxic algae. Great mountain and forest views.
