Cute little reservoir with many campsites, with fire pits and tables. best one is on the other side of the reservoir. Free, bathrooms, water, garbage great stop over on the way to black rock city!

Wild camping past Slough campground about 1/2 mile. Road in with small turnaround, beautiful view, clean, high clearance 2wd, and no cell service.

Free campground with several quiet sites surrounding a small resevoir. Keep driving past all the posted land until you reach the Modoc National Forest sign. Clean and odorless pit toilets with toilet paper. Picnic tables & fire pits. Free water near the toilets. Water spigot says untested and not to drink. No Verizon signal. Dog-friendly but be bear aware and do not to let pets drink out of or swim in the resevoir due to potential toxic algae. Great mountain and forest views.
