Incredible views! Right on the rim looking into the canyon
make sure to use GPS coordinates as it is very confusing where you can and cannot camp legally here!
3 bars Verizon with LTE. Feels very remote! 2 bars AT&T LTE

NO CAMPING. It is beautiful, but at these coordinates there are clear government “no camping” signs. The BLM.gov website has a map and this area is in the red (no camping) due to it being a Bighorn Sheep habitat. Yes there are a couple fire rings that folks have made; however those are in spite of the signs that make it clear that there is no camping. There is a small space (~.3 mile) where you can legally camp before you reach these coordinates; however the spots require an off-road vehicle & cell service is spotty. Save yourself the miles of washboard road and camp elsewhere. Or come here to enjoy the views and then camp elsewhere. (Lone Mesa isn’t too far from here and still free/allowed)
Report Check-InSpectacular views from undeveloped sites with stone fire rings set along a canyon rim
Report Check-InGreat spots with lots of space between other campers. Not an area or large RVs, more for tent, van, or short RVs. At&t service had 4 bars.
Report Check-Inawesome spot overlooking huge canyons. make sure to ask a ranger for a map detailing who owns what land. most BLM land up here is not open for dispersed camping, so it's important to know where you can and can't. the spots here are only legal in about a 200 yard stretch. very busy but there isn't much free camping here that isnt.
