Hartley picnic area is right off the highway and easy to miss, as the ramp isn’t well marked or long and the speed limit is 75. We spent the night with a lot of other trucks and had no issues. There is an active train that goes by about twice during the night. There are no bathrooms.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

Mosquito alert!! As long as you don’t get out of your car or it’s a windy day it’s okay stay. Trains came by around midnight- 1am. There are pretty good sized trashcans.
Report Check-InJust needed a place for the night to sleep. Got here just after 9pm and there was one other vehicle (camper van). Heard a semi roll in at 10pm but otherwise no other rigs. When the train blows its horn it's very loud. Very easy on and off the highway.
Report Check-InStill a good spot to boondock. As mentioned a.lottle..freeway noise that tapered off as it got later. there is a rail crossing just on the other side of the freeway so a couple times a night when the train goes through it blows its horns. I parked off to the side and ran a genny all night no problem.
The farmers were planting this time of year, so it reeked to manure.
Spotty 5G (1 bar) and LTE with T-Mobile
Decently large area shared with trucks cars and vans. Our large rig fit here just fine and put all 4 slides out comfortably. Be aware that since there are no bathrooms there is human stuff around the area. Like bathroom stuff😳💩 our rig is well insulated so didn’t much notice the noise.
Report Check-InVery convenient spot for an overnight with great cell service (T-Mobile). Shared the spot with some truck drivers and didn't have any issues. There's just highway noise, but with earplugs took care of that
