Parked in the lot right next to the beach. Its free but Overnight parking is only allowed on Sundays, any other day of the week you have to sleep under the hwy bridge (a minute walk from the beach). There’s a nice view, a portapotty and some homies hooked us up with free cocktails. Nice spot!

Latest Check-Ins

I had stayed the night here before and received a ticket that read $37. It hasn’t arrived in the mail but it finally showed up online and it’s actually $77. Be careful parking here between 2-6am.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night during labor day weekend. It was nice, quiet and very cool during the night. There is no signs in parking lot to indicate you cannot stay overnight. There are street signs says no parking from 2:00 to 6:00 am for the street, which is a bit confusing. Parking lot is small, can accommodate 8 to 10 cars.

Update. Got a ticket at 5:30 am. $37

Report Check-In

No parking from 2-6am. Signs posted along the street. I kinda had an electrical emergency and had no choice and I ended up getting a ticket at 2:22am. $37.50 will be going to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. I wish they would have at least knocked and asked me to leave so I could explain my situation but they came in very stealth and gave a few of us tickets without us knowing.

We stayed here three nights. It’s right by the beach! We found a strip of road that didn’t have any “no parking” signs, near the residential area on Santa Claus Lane, and we weren’t bothered at all. There were two porter potties near by. Also, shout of to an RV resident, Paul, an advocate for car/van/RV dwellers, who gave us some good advice on where to park in the Santa Barbara area.
We are in a small Promaster converted van.
