Description

At the end of an arroyo is a nice beach between 2 rocky headlands. Possible to enter going north or south on Mex 19 at about km 93. There is a real estate sign at the turn-off. Good road to the beach. Pretty clean. Private. Not visible from the highway. We spent 3 nights here and it was very peaceful and quiet. The local fishermen that came out in the morning were all friendly and great.

Latest Check-Ins

Great little beach between rocky cliffs. Rough, loud waves. Both exits from highway MEX19 are currently safe for 2 wheel drive and normal clearance vehicles. The southbound exit that historically was terrible must have been widened and graded just recently. The arroyo was soft but safe enough for our minivan. Tryout the beautiful short hike up the hill on the north side. Someone(s) made a nice, small path. It climbs high above the water, beautiful views and if you get to the second (tallest) peak, you have 360° views and can see over to the beaches to the North. Past reviews mention lots of toilet paper in the bushes. Very true, but the beach itself was very clean.

Report Check-In

We came in a 2wd Promaster from the north. The road down looks like it was very recently graded and repaired as there were bulldozer tracks. However, it is still washed out steeply on the right side going in so be careful. The beach is soft, there were only a few spots where we could back in toward the shore and keep out front wheels on the hardpack. This is whay we were looking for. Pretty secluded and private with the view of the ocean and occasional whales in the distance. A nice place to sleep for a night.

Report Check-In

Great little semi-private beach. The road in is ok for two wheel drive right now. The northbound exit is easy, but the southbound one will take careful driving. The waves are loud here because of the steep beach and shore break. Not a great swimming beach.

Report Check-In

The path to get in off the highway from the north was real sketchy - steep and rutted with one edge about to collapse. I'd recommend walking it before committing. Then the arroyo was very sandy. We made it in using RWD (Sprinter van) but put it in 4 to get out. My husband enjoyed the drive but it made me nervous! it was a really nice spot though, right on the beach. One other family was there in a truck with tents. Saw some whales.

beautiful beach, nice waves, lots of whales, beware of soft sand, nothing than quite time, right side sand more hard than left (we stuck wth truck camper 11t very fast), Beach called Playa Jimi in Google

What an amazing stop!! One of the most tranquil small beach spots we’ve been to down Baja💜 We were so high up we got to see the whales!! Just a gorgeous land feature too, to see waves fill the rock formation and recede! Absolutely recommend this spot. There are two things to consider. Although this says Playa Jimi on google maps, the sign when we entered said Punta La Tinaja which was what the warning was for the people held at gunpoint for their phones. So we parked in the bushes out of sight since we were the only ones there on a Wednesday night. There was a fisherman there from 6pm to 9pm. Anyways if you can handle the poop / toilet bushes the guy mentioned previously (just one or two bushes) and potential gunpoint robbery (which could happen anywhere anytime) then I totally recommend this place! Can’t travel too far in if your rig can’t handle deep sand. Also we recommend max 20 feet since it’s hard to turn around in there!

Nice place for sure but IMHO this is not the paradise that was told to me by a few different people. It’s a fairly small beach between rock cliffs. The fishermen are very nice and friendly. Two problems for me were that there are ants all over the ground in two spots I parked and the arroyo everyone seems to be using as a toilet is absolutely disgusting. There’s toilet paper all over in there, I’ve never seen anything like it, super gross. PLEASE use a shovel and either burn or bury your toilet paper.

Nice spot to spend the night. Came in from the south, entrance from the highway is a bit hard to see but ok. We are in a 4wd rv but saw several local people with 2wd vehicles.

Report Check-In

Very nice place. Lot of whales, beautiful spectacle. It's a really pleasant place to stay, quiet. It's possible to arrive on the two sides and the path is ok. Be careful with the sand.

WARNING... si vous arriver du Nord (Todo Santos) ne prenez pas le chemin avant le pont, ce chemin a été miné par l’eau, seule l’entrée Sud est passable.

Report Check-In

Southbound entrance was pretty bad (washed out, deep soft sand), we didn't attempt it. Northbound entrance was good. Watch for soft sand in the arroyo. Didn't stay but nice place to stretch your legs.

watch out for suicidal praying mantis when having a camp fire! this little guy came bounding from several feet away, circled the fire few times then jumped in numerous times.

use work gloves when picking up wood. found a few baby scorpions.

Beautiful sandy beach in between two rocky points. Very rough waves and steep down to the surf - dangerous for swimming. We had this beach all to ourselves! The road down the arroyo can be accessed two ways, either from the south or north: 1) Heading north, the dirt road exits to the right, just before the bridge. You follow it around underneath the bridge and it will lead you to the beach. 2) Heading south, exit to the right on the dirt road just before the bridge. Both options are steep/uneven dirt at first, then a normal flat dirt path through the arroyo. No problems in our F350 truck camper. Barely had one bar of Telcel service.

Report Check-In

Had one look at the kerb you need to climb to get from the highway to the access road and moved on to the next spot. No way our RAM 3500 with camper and trailer was going to clear that without some damage.

Report Check-In

Tried to go there and along the dirt road leading to the beach, a military truck was parked. It wasn't a checkpoint, they were just chilling out. They were in the middle of the way so I had no choice but to stop and one of them came to ask me what I was doing here, I answered that I was going to the beach and he told me that there was no beach access, even if I could see the ocean ahead. I don't argue with armed men, so I went back to Cabo for a noisy night.

Report Check-In

Going south just before bridge you will see the concrete ditch filled with dirt, that's the turnoff. Road going down to the wash is slowly eroding so be careful. No problem with 2wd. We stayed on the beginning of the beach near bushes. Waves were too strong for swimming.

Report Check-In

Awesome quiet beach with no one else around! Took the turn off of 19 northbound slightly after km93. As someone else described, the turn off is just before the guardrail starts. Follow the dirt road down the arroyo to the beach. It’s a well worn track, don’t need 4wd. Once at the beach the sand gets softer so be careful how far you venture in. It’s so dark and quiet here falling asleep to the waves crashing. Awesome!

Report Check-In

Wide easy sand arroyo. Access from north or south. Quiet. Cell service but no internet, 2 bars of E.

Report Check-In

Nice beach for a night. huge waves make it hard to swim, but we enjoyed watching them for the night.
We made it easily with our 4WD Camper but I wouldn't have risked it with only 2WD as it is really sandy.

Report Check-In

Quiet beach to spend the night. Super hot and no shade. Waves too big to swim.
We came in the way described, down a steep narrow track. But we came out an easier way - you'd need to be in the North bound lane, turn right after km 93 just before the guard rail begins

We camped here on a Saturday night and were alone. Nice beach with huge waves and very strong currents; I've been in the water accidentally less than knee-deep and the waves knocked me down. We gathered quite a bit of firewood on the way in (see photo), but left some behind for you ;-)

Report Check-In

Great secluded spot. Only one other camper. High fierce surf, but amazing views of whales spouting and jumping, and stingrays jumping, when we were here. Fisherman come and stand knee or waist high in the surf at various times casting their lines. Saw some people hiking up the rocky point to the right of beach (when facing the ocean), looked very scary. Goats came to visit a couple of times, followed by two herding dogs. Very cool experience all around. No 3G available Here

Playa Migriño, a pristine beach. The turn off coming from the north on the Mex19 is : N 23.11894 / W 110.10643, at the beginning a bit steep and inclined.
From the south : N 23.11653 / W 110.10386.

Report Check-In

Nice beach, but beware the soft sand and ferocious waves, although plenty of good places to camp. Enter just before you go over bridge at ~62.5km. Road a little steep to start with but firm, and then decent dirt road for half a mile or so to beach.

Report Check-In

The description to get to the beach is ok. Easy to find it. We were alone there. It was calm and not so windy. There is a lot of space for many people.

Report Check-In

Nice spot between Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos. Easy road, mellow beach but deep soft sand on beach itself. No real estate sign on the 19 anymore...entrance to dirt road on both sides of large bridge.
