The road in had a lot of bumps and holes but going slow you should have no trouble getting in for most vehicles.

Verizon service seems hit and miss, there may be better at different spots. There are several pull offs, some with fire rings, we didn’t go all the way down the road I am sure there is more.

No facilities and no trash, so please pack it out.

There were a few people setup in tents nearby as well.

Report Check-In

Don’t do it unless you have an off-road vehicle and can drive far into the public land. The bumps and potholes here are indeed ENORMOUS!!! Permanent camper/homeless vibes are still going strong too. Saw several RVs with trash and random items near them. There also was a police car parked near the entrance, so they must be well aware of the situation. I didn’t like the area and couldn’t get far enough with my 2WD Chevy Express, so I didn’t stay here.

Report Check-In

So many spots here! Was a great place to sleep. Gorgeous views. Way more spaced out than a parking lot or campground. The road loops I think, but the pot holes are ENORMOUS! It’s like an obstacle course road. We drove it in our Chevy express van. Felt totally safe.

Report Check-In

This is a really cool spot! There are TONS of places to park with fire rings scattered around. The road coming in is very pitted with large potholes and divots, so be very careful. I don’t feel unsafe like others have described; yes there are permanent residents staying here but they have their own sites and are not bothering anybody. Lots of trails and great views too! Tons of off road vehicles driving around until around 8:30pm.

Report Check-In

I drove all the way through here and the road is the worst. Do not attempt unless you do not care about your suspension. Every spot out here was taken up by permanent (very sketchy) people. I did not feel safe and left. Would not recommend.

Report Check-In

Would NOT recommend staying here. Perhaps if you have 4wd or AWD and can drive further off the main road where it’s more peaceful but I have low clearance and was concerned about getting stuck in the sand and tire tracks if I ventured further from the main road. People have disrespected this place leaving trash in fire pits and the bushes which is really sad. Then, one group parked nearby played loud techno music all through the night until about 3 AM. It finally stopped but then I woke up to someone playing the drums at 5:30 AM. The people staying here don’t seem to have the same level of respect or consideration for others and the environment as I’m accustomed to on public land.

good place to camp outside the city. a bunch of other people in all kinds of rigs from huge rvs to vans camping down the road and the hills around. the road is absolutely terrible..you can get down if you go slow but holy crap what a wild ride.
we found a spot, nobody around and set up our 20 ft trailer. felt ok to leave it during the day too.
probably wouldn't camp again only because of the road in. but good for long term bc if you get your rig in, you'd understand why you don't want to take it out anytime soon. 14 day limit, blm land, signs posted.
full 4g bars T-Mobile and Verizon

Report Check-In

I felt extremely unsafe at this spot. I’ve camped on a lot of BLM land and this was by far the sketchiest. I ended up turning around and leaving.

Report Check-In

As described, half a mile of pavement and then slow down. If you stick to the higher side you will be fine. A little noisy on the weekend but it's Monday night and quiet at 5:30pm. Only one guy looks like he has been here awhile. Unlike the public land down the street which is mostly long term "residents". Much better view here also. Good Tmobile reception. Pack in, pack out. Don't be THAT guy. Been here 3 nights, going to stay a couple more. Beautiful sunsets.

Report Check-In

Good spot among the saguaros, close to hiking trails in Superstition Mountains. Road is quite bumpy; we made it in our 2WD ProMaster but longer or lower-clearance vehicles might have a harder time. Roads are for OHV use so there was some noise but it died down at night. Beautiful sunset views.

Report Check-In

Found a nice spot for my 36 foot travel trailer here. The road in is heavily rutted with many dips. 4X4 and high clearance rig recommended for this area. You have to go slow to avoid bottoming out. 14 day stay limit, and a nice view of the Lost Dutchmen mountain. OHV vehicles and Jeep’s frequently use the main road in.
