Description

The best wild spot we have been so far! Just at a bend of the Mara river with countless hippos. You have to book it beforehand. A guide has to come with you and show you the place. There is no signposted and it is not directly at the street. We paid 30 $ pppn. We don‘t know this is the normal price. The place is really in the nature. No facilities. Normally they send a guard overnight, but we denied, because of our solid truck. So we were totally alone.

I agree with below. Best spot we have seen so far. But, quiet expansive. Camping 40 USD pP , plus 15000 KS booking fee, plus we needed 2 rangers all night security plus 5000 KS

Both ololoolo gate as well as Mara bridge told us this is a private campsite - meaning you need to pay a 10.000 ksh booking fee, same as for the other private campsites. We decided to go for Eluai instead.

We agree with the previous speaker. A beautiful place by the river and in nature. We also saw a hyena nearby. However, the camp CANNOT be reserved online, it is not on the list.
