Checked it out, but did not stay. There seems to be permanent stays there w large RVs, so the space is very limited. Too close to the road. There might by space for one smaller rig.

Report Check-In

Not bad. Load road noise, more traffic than you would expect. I parked behind a long line of vehicles by the hedge. Not sure if they were campers or empty vehicles as everyone was very quiet. I’d suggest arriving late in the dark, but I nearly missed out on a spot that way.

Report Check-In

Sooo loud, a lot of trucks and cars going by and a sort of fog horn or something similar bipping loudly every two minutes all night long. Plus a few airplanes.

But no one bothered us and good cell service

Report Check-In

Spent a quiet night in my oversize Sprinter. Exactly as described (and recommended).

Spent the day at pillar point which is an excellent area for hiking/walking (cliffs and beach both) w plentiful flat parking and relatively sheltered from wind.

Seems tolerate for now. It’s fine for one night.

Decent spot to spend a night, some road traffic but in a nice little area close to restaurants and the beach. Weren’t bothered in the night but there were 3 large rvs here all with generators going all night, which made it hard to sleep. Otherwise decent and hey it’s free

Several pull outs on Capistrano Road. Stayed one night, no issues. Could hear the ocean and it’s wildlife all night long, very nice. Selection of restaurants just down the street, walking distance.

Report Check-In

Relatively chill spot just off Hwy 1 near farmland, the bay, a few restaurants, pubs and a great coffee stand nearby.
Pup friendly roadside. You can hear Hwy 1 about 1/4 mile away but it quieted down by midnight. I wish I’d had my ear plugs for the random louder car passing by. It might be a lot noisier on a Friday or Saturday nite. The fog horn was going all nite. All and all a peaceful easy spot. We’d stay here again.

very quiet little turnout, stayed here with a few other cars and wasn’t bothered. Some road noise that pretty much stopped after 10:30 PM. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to hear some seals in the distance :)

Lots of different turn outs here. Saw a couple other overlanders. Road was pretty busy till around midnight but then was very quiet and comfy till morning. Stayed with no troubles.

Stayed here in our 40’ school bus conversion. Quiet nite and no one bothered us. Definitely check out Old Princeton Landing. Food was great.

Report Check-In

We parked just for one night at this place and it was very quiet during the night with barely no cars passing by. No one bothered us. Good T-Mobile signal.

Have stayed here multiple times the past few months when I come to surf Half Moon Bay. Quiet and dark place to crash for the night. Very few cars passing at night. There are other spots around the corner in the industrial area I’ve stayed as well but more cars passing by at night and early mornings. Great place to stay close to the beach.

There were already a number of campers at the aforementioned spot. So we stopped at the first turnoff on the right exiting 1, enough room for 1-2 vehicles. We watched the sunset go down over the tiny airport, didn’t hear any planes all night. We DID hear sea lions and coyotes in the distance, which made the spot feel more natural and wild. We arrived at dusk and left at 7am before traffic really started up again. Definitely nice for spending a night in the Bay Area!
