Now open June 7th.
The campground at the Penn Lake in Marathon was still closed for the season, but we were allowed to stay at the parking lot of the day use area and they opened the restrooms for us. We could us the showers at the swimming hall in town.

We overnight on the gravel carpark area in front of campground. Peaciful and calm night. Nest morning camping guards kindly explain that we could not overnight herw as it is participar of the campingground and this year is already open because no show remain.

From the entrance to the parking space is well maintained during the winter. There are two areas available to park, one very well lit and other one dark. We felt safe and slept like babies. Bathrooms not in service. We only saw another car and a dog walker in the morning.

we used the hot showers. basic but perfect. we wanted to stay in the parking lot but a guy said we had to pay $26 so we left.

Day use area free (including washrooms, showers, picnic tables, playground) but to stay is $26.75 for unserviced site or $45 with hook up. Didn’t stay, only visited during the day

Amazing place with lake view, warm shower available and free, clean toilet, laundry and dryer (2+2$). We spent a night, just advise the office, absolutely no problem. Place is quiet and and no mosquitoes.
