Report Check-Init’s not a good spot to park overnight. like the previous person i called both danube’s and lee county non-emergency police departments and they both said the area is patrolledd by sherries department and not open to overnight camping. sign says so too. water and day hangs are good!
Report Check-InSigns all over say “no overnight parking”. There were several campers there when we arrived and it’s a beautiful spot, but they told us don’t stay the night as the police will probably move you on. We went back over the bridge and stayed at Cracker Barrel instead. Shame, it’s a nice place :(

Got a knock on our door at 8am from the park maintenance personnel saying no overnight parking is allowed.
We walked around the area and sure enough there are signs reading no overnight parking.
The park attendant also stated the police do not regulate this park. The police only get involved if park staff and/or rangers report any problems.
The park staff works from 8am - 8pm.
Stayed last night on the water, no issues. Bathrooms on both sides of Causeway open 7am-9pm. Great free place to stay and the sunset and sunrise are unbeatable. Outdoor showers are by the the bathroom with the water hookup. Lots of picnic tables.
Report Check-InFree camp spots located on the west side of of the southern Causeway just north of Sanibel Island.
We tried to find free Boondocking near a beach but they all have signs prohibiting overnighted. We called the police department and they told us about the free camping at the Causeway Island Park.
