interesting place but we didn't go in the springs. water is cool and very slimey and full of algae. you can't see the bottom. but, it's an isolated area and so far we haven't been bothered.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There is now a closed gate over the road with a sign saying "private property, no camping". Bummer.
Report Check-Incar camping. amazing weather, warm day, cool night. the campsite is just a dirt parking lot. no facilities of any kind. I am alone here tonight. calm and quiet
Report Check-InReally muddy area! (maybe cause of the rain yesterday) Careful not to get stuck.
Would not go in the springs, they looks nasty and I’m truly not that picky. Cute place, wouldn’t make a detour to come here tho
Report Check-InWe parked right next to a thermal source 😁 very quiet area, lots of birds indeed! leveled for our 20-foot RV, overlooking mountains, water and nature overall. Great spot.
Report Check-InBeautiful and quiet. No truck and bus here as mentioned in prior post. Great spot for those who seek solitude. The trickling warm spring pools (aptly named for their slight odor and not for bathing) are a bird haven, especially red wing blackbirds - fun to rise with them. Plenty of space and choices for parking
Report Check-InDidn't stay here. As others said, the spring is stagnant, algae, and buggy. Stinky.
There is a bus and truck parked here that appear to be living here. Way too many things out and up to be camping.
Report Check-InQuiet secluded spot next to a large hot spring that is indeed very dirty (you can't even see what's under the surface) so we definitely didn't want to swim in it. Verizon service is mostly good but sometimes went bad. We were the only ones around and it's surrounded by mountains so overall nice spot! Right off a main road so very easy to get to and we did just fine in our 2WD Promaster.
Report Check-InThis is a great spot outside death valley. Right off the road and there's a hot spring. I didn't get in the hot spring and it doesn't really feel too hot, but very quiet here and great views. A large flat spot that would be good if you have a large camper. 3 bars ATT. No 4x4 needed
