Peaceful pull-off alongside little Tennessee river. Stayed 2 nights. We saw many locals and fishermen drive by throughout the day time (less than 20), never bothered at night. Fairly level ground, no signage about overnight parking or camping, saw another car stay the night up the road. 8 mbps download, 1.2 mbps upload with booster on Verizon. 3.4 & .21 with no booster.

Was down a whole bunch of windy roads in the middle of nowhere. A local actually stopped by when we first arrived to make sure we weren’t lost and made sure to throw in there’s no camping here. We stayed anyways and slept well all night with no interruptions and had a very pretty view of the lake in the morning. A trooper stopped by around 10am to ask what we were doing and said again no overnight camping. So I guess come at your own risk.
Report Check-InWe also went a little past this spot to a level little pull out on the left. It was a small space and had a monument to the Cherokee. Quiet night, if anyone drove by we didn’t hear them and no one bothered us. There was a trash can there as well. Beautiful view during sunset.
Report Check-InPast this spot, At the end of the road there is a big loop, big enough for some rigs with trailers, vans, buses, etc. Stayed here 1 night in a RTT, no issues, had a couple people drive down and turn around throughout the night but no problems. Mosquitoes came out like hawks at night. If you walk down the “peninsula” you’ll find a pretty cool memorial for Cherokee War Chief, Oconostota. Please don’t litter, there is a garbage can and other garbage disposal locations along this road! Please use them!
Report Check-InVery beautiful place to look around, and sleep if needed. Perfect place to watch the sunset. We slept in the car alongside the lake.
